Apple IIgs SCART converter

I have a Commodore 1702 color monitor which takes a standard RCA plug for video in. Would this device successfully allow me to plug my Apple IIgs into my monitor and c=get color.

http://www.amazon.com/Scart-Composite-S-Video-Audio-Adapter/dp/B006RBMJ46/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1355628189&sr=8-2&keywords=scart+to+rca+cable

The IIgs does have a single RCA out, but it is not color.

Thanks!

Bad head cold,
But I think your IIgs control panel is set for B&W rather than for color. 3 keys will get you there or hold down the option or is it Open Apple key when booting. The text will be in B&W that is you can not change the colors of text from the control panel when using the composite video cable.

Had a SCART cable made up and tried it out on the SyncMaster 940mw. Almost to sharp of picture. Also folder on the left side have thin yellow line running verticle. Will take pictures later.

Take Care

Thanks for the info! Since the text console was black and white I assumed that the RCA composite out was B&W only. I did check the IIgs control panel to make sure it was set for color and it was but I still got B&W output to the text console. I did not check any graphics programs last night to see if they were in color but I did today. Sure enough, when running graphics programs it is in full color.
