Hi folks,
I'm looking for a cheap 80 column card for a II+. I've seen some on ebay but they are out of my price range. Does anybody have one cheap? Or I can make a trade. I have two parallel printer cards for the Apple II that work (tested with a laserjet printer), a super serial card that works fine, various chips, 6502s, some memory, and some more stuff.
I was also thinking of buying this bare videx 80-column card PCB: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-II-Blank-Video-Term-80-Column-Display-Card-with-Memory-/251377990406?pt=US_Vintage_Computing_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a874bbb06
I have lots of the IC's already, but I would need the PROMs. If anybody has one of these cards, I would pay to copy the ROMs.
Thanks, Gabe Read
Videx VideoTerm cards come up on and off for about $25-$30. if that's beyond your price point, I fear you're !@$#! out of luck.
If you decide to populate that bare board instead, I think Videx PROM images are available online.
I think I have one buried somewhere. If you're not in a rush, and I have one, it's yours for $5 + $3 shipping in the USA. I'll test it (in a IIe) and ship it in antistatic wrap. Let me know if this fits your price range.
That would be wonderful if you have it. I can definitely pay you that! I'm in no hurry.
Gabe
Bad news everyone. I looked through my stock and I don't have any ][+ compatible 80 column cards, just ][e compatible ones. Sorry. Good luck in your hunt.
There's a "medium priced" one on eBay if you're in a hurry.
Look for item # 221233902451. There's another, more like Videx,
higher priced: # 231018673903
Otherwise, I see them on there often for about half that.
