Source for 44-Pin Edge Connector Socket

Greetings Guys,

Do any of you have a source and part number for the 44-pin edge connector ("slot") for an Apple-1 clone I'm building, please? I'm looking for one without mounting ears. I believe it has 0.156" contact and pin spacing.

Thanks in advance.

Cheerful regards, Mike

It´s nearly impossible to get those without ears.
Corey986 published here several threads how to modify the ones from chinch.
here is the picture:

row spacing is important also - it is .140" instead of the more commonly found .200" you would be lucky to find them without ears, but the ears can be trimmed off without too much difficulty. EDAC makes a green compatible part with ears 305-044-521-202 that sometimes can be found , if you can't find a Cinch part. The EDAC part doesn't have the rounded corners of the Cinch part, but very few people will notice the difference.

Anchor electronics in Santa Clara has a couple of the cinch connectors with ears left for a little over $2 each. You can cut the ears off carefully with a fine hobby hacksaw,which you will destroy the blade in the process, and clean up the connector with some wet sanding.

As of this morning I can tell you Anchor doesn't have any of the ones left without ears...

I found my edge connector from an old Atari board. It doesn't have the rounded corners but does have the correct spacing

I was at Anchor in Santa Clara on Wednesday, and they had more of the cinch connectors with the ears.

I found this product on ebay:

[url=http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Card-Edge-Connector-2-X-22-PIN-44-Pin-3-96mm-Solder-Socket-/360834446587?ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:FR:3160]

I bought a few almost a year ago

perhaps that it is possible to cut the ears...
