Need help identifying these cables.

I came across two video cables I'd never seen before. I am sure someone here knows what they're for.

I've attached photos. The first shows what looks like a DB15 to RGB BNC cable. It is branded with the Supermac "S" and part number 006358-0001.

The second is an Apple branded cable that looks like DB15 to ...something?

Like I said, new to me.

That second cable looks like it is an Apple -> DB13W3 connector. The only caveat is that you would need to know which 13W3 pinout it uses before you could find where it belongs. Also, aren't the Apple monitor cables DA-15 not DB-15?

You're correct, first cable is an RGB cable. A number of 'pro' (meaning large and expensive) CRT monitors had RGB BNC connectors often alongside VGA inputs. You can see a good example of the inputs near the bottom of the page here. I owned a couple of the Viewsonic 21" CRTs. Very nice, and desk-warpingly heavy.
The BNC cables sometimes had h-sync and v-sync connectors along alongside RGB. Assumption is yours is sync-on-green, where the 'g' in 'rgb' carried the sync information for the monitor.

I've seen the second cable connector on Sun computers, but this is a first for me seeing one Apple-branded.

Hi Smile

...the second cable is very likely a Macintosh Portrait Display cable. I have one of those displays and the monitors and related cables are indeed pretty rare (but not particularly 'valuable' per se).

Thanks all. These came from a local library, so it is probable that they had these displays at some point. A shame that they've "probably been thrown out a few years ago."
