Does anyone know of a source for a IIGS serial (modem) cable?

I had to make my own. its pretty easy to do once you source all the parts (which can be purchased at any good electronic store). made mine for less than 5 dollars.

Mr. Fix,

Did you have any problems with the pin-outs for the modem?

I describe the pinout to make it yourself here:

Thanks for the pinouts, but don't they show a null modem cable? I am trying to a straight forward serial cable, one that I would connect to a modem, or in my case a Terminal Node Connector, a radio modem.

Wouldn't a MiniDin8 Male to DB25 Male Mac Modem Cable work on a GS?

Sorry, yes - going directly to a modem or similar, you don't need null-ness. So yes, a MiniDIN8 to DB25 Mac Modem cable is exactly what you need. I see one on Amazon:
www.amazon.com/C2G-Cables-Mini-Din-Hayes-Compatible-Meters/dp/B0002GWO9C/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1431272606&sr=1-4

I found some, too.

Thanks very much.
