Cinch 44-pin edge connector sockets wanted (Bounty offered)

I'm after some Cinch 44-pin edge connector sockets for a Mimeo Apple 1 reproduction.

The connectors are green in color, with 2 rows of 22 gold plated contacts with 0.156" spacing. I'd prefer the version with no mounting ears (as per the Apple 1) but failing that I would be interested in the eared version.

Cinch part numbers are:

50-44S-30-1 (no ears)
50-44S-30-2 (with ears)

I'm happy to offer $100 per connector for the non-eared version of a similar bounty if anyone can find them to sell in individual quantities for a reasonable (less than 3 digit) price.

Hi PhilPower

You don´t need to spend $ 100 only worth 5
You can buy it here (same color as the original, but with ears but can cut)

I don't think those are the same size. I think the pins are different spacing. You should check the data sheet. Card edge connector's from back in the 70's are getting very hard to find. Gold reclaimers have been grabbing all the ones they can. You may need to beat their price and buy a sizable lot as many of the suppliers who deal with them try to keep them happy and seem to prefer to sell to their regular "gold" guys and not the public because of the steady business.

My suggestion is that you try to go to surplus stores and poke around.... Maybe you can find one...

Cheers,
Corey

I can assure you that it is the same size, I have the mimeo 1.01 and the ACI adapter from Mike Willegal.

The ACI adapter is properly inserted in the connector, and the pins corresponds correctly.

It has only one defect, the connector pins (each row) I had to bend a bit (0.5 mm) so that they can insert into the board

It is not perfect but serves me right

So the pin spacing is off, but you made it work by bending the pins...

OK... good to know if I ever need one Wink

Hi tachungo,

thanks for the reply. I was aware of those connectors. Element 14 have them as well. They aren't quite the same, but failing an alternative are probably usable for most people. Call me pedantic but I would like the correct connector if at all possible. I know of a couple of surplus dealers that have them but they want ridiculous amounts of money and won't sell in single or small quantities.
