Mac IIx not Powering up with new batteries
Hello again,

I have a Mac IIx that will not power up afrter I added new batteries.

It boot if I jump start it with a 3.6v battery from the white power supply lead to ground. But wont start with batteris in the regular place.

But I did the batteries like pictured. At the blue wire I get 3.169v, at the red wire I get 6.29v. I got this idea from, I think, in here somewhere.

Did I connect this up wrong, Or are the voltages to low?

Thanks.

It's not real clear ...

It's not real clear as to what you've connected from that battery pack to the motherboard, though I get what you're trying to do.

I will suggest you get 2 separate cells to replace the 2 you removed from the motherboard.  If you wish to use battery mounts, you can get them similar to these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/314027303950

If you measure between the solder VIA's. (for the battery connections, you might be able to find a battery holder that measures / fits.

Just a suggestion.
