I'm going but not doing an Apple exhbit this year. I'm doing an Intel exhbit. So 4004, 8008, 8080 and 8088. Figure I'm always doing apple things, might as well change it up.

Cheers,
Corey

I saw that. That's a nice thing about VCF I have learned, gives a ton of variety. Since Apple II and Mac are my thing, that's what I'm doing.
Funny, have a friend already made a request for Dark Castle to be running or available on one of my macs since that was his first real Mac game.

Everybody has a favorite machine from that era (regardless of manufacturer) so I figured it would be cool to bring one of everything from Apple up to that point (Apple II through Compact Mac/Mac Portable)
and let people have at it.

I look forward to meeting you there.

Re: VCF East - So who's going?

It is is going to be a fun weekend.

Hopefully I'm not signing myself up for too much, like I usually do. I still have a TRS-80 from last year to finish repairing.

I'll have an Apple IIe running a RTTY (radio teletype) application. Hopefully, I'll manage to get an antenna rigged and be able to receive RTTY traffic and possibly send. From my home I've received messages from as far away as South America and Europe, but I need to wait for a little bit of the snow to melt so that I can tune my antenna for transmission. I have tested transmit in a lab setup, so the software is ready.

I'm also working on getting an Apple II rev 0 reproduction set up as a terminal for a 8008 micro-processor morse code application running on a SCELBI. At this point, the morse application is a work in progress, but I think I have enough time to get it all going. The interface between the SCELBI and the Apple II is going to be pretty unique, but I'll only reveal that at VCF.

I'm also trying to get a copy of an early commercial Apple II amateur radio application to possibly run and at the minimum, display. I have found a source for the original software package, but the owner does not appear to be in a hurry to either send me the originals or figure out how to make a copy for me.

I'll have an early morse trainer application running that was released by Apple Computer.

I'll be giving a general repair class on Friday.

There is a Mimeo in the Museum and another person there will be operating Apple 1 reproductions.

Adam Rosen will have some amazing Macintosh gear, if you are interested in Macintosh.

regards,
Mike W.
