Apple IIc boot disk

I take it you have access to either a PC or a Mac. Go here: http://adtpro.sourceforge.net/ and you can download software that will let you transfer disk images that can be downloaded from the Web to your IIc.

Failing that you can always send me a private message through this site with your snail mail address and I can make you a copy of the latest PRODOS disk and mail it to you.

Well, how am I supposed to transfer that to an Apple IIc? I don't have the stuff to transfer it! I want to buy an original Apple ][ disk. Either Apple Dos 3.3 or ProDos Boot disk. And do you know where I can buy some AppleWorks 5 1/4" Disks for my Apple IIc?

All you need is a serial cabl

All you need is a serial cable witht he right plugs for the A2 and the PC. ADTPro can boot the A2 right off the serial line, no boot disk needed. The 2c is easier than many A2 systems because it already has serial ports built-in.

What Jon and Magnus are tryin

What Jon and Magnus are trying to tell you is you can create your own ProDOS boot disk with ADTPro. The catch: you'll need a serial/modem/printer cable.

PowerBook180c

Magnus.read your reply about //c boot disc. trying for boot disc my self i came into a realy good condition 180c, the battery's naff but the machine does as it's supposed to, on switch on. the info i have say's the bios bleeps, on switch if the bios is in good nick. so thats ok. when powered up the splash screen is a floopy disc with a flashing ? inserted. so i assume it needs a floppy boot disc. I'v also read that 180c will take most of the windows programs. I have boot discs for all the Windows OS, none work. Doing a machine profile say's its Mac OS 7.1 supported by 7.5 upto 7.6.1. and may be higher. i dont want to take the 180 apart to raw the disc. (not to format) i know intel do chip checkers for all std PCs MOBOs. i dont know anything about Macs, i do not want to lose the the drivers installed
unless it's absolutally neccassary. hope you can help me. also the rear door with the i/o port info is missing. the ports are from left to right. modem. next SCSI HDI30 = the 30 pin female. 4 pin mouse connector and the mouse. (which on the windows pcs is usually S Vidio i/o. as in TV/cameras.)Next 2 mini jacks, i'm told the left is o/p and the right is i/p. directly above that an over grown USB type connector with a central bar 7 connections on the top and 7 connections on bottom of a central bar. = 14 connector and the outer shield makes 15. (new connector to me never seen it before i assume it's the vidio connector.) to the far right there are 2 small holes which i would say are reset switches. don't know on that. finaly this leaves to the far left power in connector i assume this to be the ADB
If you can confirm the connections and supply me with the boot disc, or direct me to the right place i would be very grateful
Many thanks
john.

This deserves its own thread.

This deserves its own thread. You are very confused on what you have and what is does, it seems. The 180c is a very old (ca. 1993) 68k based Macintosh PowerBook. It absolutely does not run Windows software without an emulation package running (slowly) on top of Mac OS. It'd be best to start you own thread (over int eh 68K forum section) and we can get this straitened out for you.
