Hey!
Does anyone know of a good source for FREE fonts that'd work in "System 6"?

There's a System 6 TT disk set that includes a few TT fonts along with the needed init. Once you have that installed you can use most any TT font you like.
Here's a couple of useful Apple support pages, found by running an advanced search "system 6 truetype" and checking the box to include pre-1997 results.

Damn if I can find (with a casual search) the older software DL page though. It's there, they just don't make it easy to find.
Anyway, here's a direct link to the older System software directory. Burrow down into System_6.0.x/TrueType/ for the TT enabler. (TrueType_1.0.sea.bin)

I think there are some here, but i'm not sure. There is cool stuff though (windowshade is very useful and tearoffs is brilliant).
This is where i get most of my system 6 stuff.
