Any interest in a USB keyboard adapter for ][/][+?

I know the PS/2 adapters are common, but PS/2 keyboards are getting less and less common these days.  Also almost all of the wireless keyboards available today are USB.

I've got some USB Host Modules and I'm going to try to build a prototype using an Arduino.  If I can get that working then a PCB could be designed using chips and parts directly instead of the modules.

Also if this works, it is probably possible to design something similar for a //e.

Does anyone have the software and or manuals for the VersaWriter? I got one included with my Apple IIe but it did not include software or manuals, or any info really.

Here is a picture of it:

Apple IIGS Memory Expansion Card Chips?

Hiya folks!

I am curious, if I want to add extra chips to my Apple memory expansion card where would I find those chips? It doesn't say in the manual what they're called or where to get them...

I have the top row full, but the bottom row is completely empty. So, I believe that means the card only has 256KB on it.

Thanks everyone!

Apple CP/M drive prompt

Hello all,

The Softcard CP/M prompt "A>" on my enhanced Apple //e shows up as (open-apple)>. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks,

Mockingboard 4c

Hi,

I have been looking at the Mockingboard 4c kit for the Apple IIc that is still availible on Ebay.  Looks easy enough to install and the price seems reasonable. Does anyone here have one installed in your IIc and what do you think of it?

Thanks

Experience with keyswitches and ultrasonic cleaners?

I have a problematic old Datanetics keyboard on a (very) old Apple II Plus. I've replaced a couple of keyswitches and cleaned all the keys by injecting isopropanol alcohol into the keyswitches and "working" them for a while and that actually worked and I was able to properly use the keyboard.

Videx 80 column card connector

Hi all,

I got a Videx Videoterm 80 column card for my Apple ii plus. It was cheap but of unknown state and didn't come with any connectors. A few questions:

  • Anyone know where to score a softswitch?
  • Anyone know where to score a manual switchplate?
  • Anyone have instruction for building your own switchplate?
  • And anyone have a pinout diagram for the 5 pin molex connector?
    • I can't even test the card because I don't have that connector.
    • Happy to build one, just need to now which pins are for the video output

Thanks!
