Apple Handcontroller //e Issues

Hello, all. I recently received a pair of Apple //e Handcontrollers ( as shown) but it appears there is something wrong with the analog locations. While running Breakout, the paddle twitches and jumps all around. I wrote a small program that outputs the value of pdl(0), and saw that the value will sometimes spike while turning the knob, seemingly at random, but will never be above 244. Additionally, there is a large "dead zone" when the knob is turned all the way to the left... the value stays at 0 while turning the knob to the right a little. What could be causing the issue?

A][e Ram & Keyboard issues

Hello

I have what I believe is standard IIe with just an 80 column, and FD cards

On power up I get the standard Apple II screen. Pressing Ctrl-Reset I get the space bar key repeating. If I press another key then that key repeats.

If I dosconnect the keyboard, and power up I get RAM: in the upper left corrner, and the self test never finishes.

Suggestions of fixes?

Thanks

CPM on 800k Floppies or HDDs?

Hi,

I'm running an Apple //e with a MS Softcard and an SD-Disk][ floppy/hdd emulator.

Works perfectly for DOS + ProDOS, can also boot CP/M 2.2 and CP/AM 5.1 floppy images off of asimov.

I'd really like to get my hands on an 800k floppy image (.2MG) or a small hdd (.hdv) image with a bootable CP/M OS on it.

Has anybody had any luck finding this?

I suppose that just using ciderpress to convert the .dsk will fail, since CP/M hardcodes some device tables...

I appreciate any pointers or discussions!

Cheers

We made a GUI for our microM8 Apple II Emulator

Hi everyone! Recently we’ve had requests from users for both an API (an interface for controlling our microM8 Apple II emulator externally) and a GUI (a graphical user-interface native to the host operating system). The lack of a native GUI has always been an issue for users: microM8 is designed using a cross-platform OpenGL framework called GLFW, but GLFW offers little in the way of UI controls. Also, an API would allow people to automate emulation functions, for example to test .WOZ-format disks created with Applesauce.

ImageWriter I Issue

Good morning. I purchased an original ImageWriter for my Apple IIe, and of course it came with no cables. I figure I need to buy a serial cable and interface card of some sort, but I’m stuck as to what exactly to buy. My IIe is pretty empty on the inside, with only the standard stuff and no serial port apart from the controller port. What should I buy to get up and running?

Europlus Keyboard

Maybe someone could help with a europlus datanetics keyboard. It's very clean however looks like it's been hot in the past around the connector. All keys work, except 9,U,I,J,comma. Sometimes 7 will post double keys 7B. I've replaced all those switches from a donar datanetics keyboard and same problem which makes me think it's something else on the board. I've heated the main connector solders and tried to clean them up.

No TXD signal Super Serial Card II

I recently got a Super Serial Card and installed it on apple II+. I am now trying to network II+ and MacBook with using modem MGR, but I have a problem. The text entered on the mac is displayed on II+. However, the text entered on II+ side has not been sent to macbook. So when I checked the signals on the  card and I found that the TXD signal was not detected.

Next I install the same card on another apple II+ and do the same thing, The card worked fine and communication between computers work perfect.

From these, I conclud that there is a problem with the motherboard of II+.

CFFA3000

UPDATE: Went quick. Already sold.

For anyone looking for a CFFA3000, just a heads up on one that just went up on eBay. I'm not the seller but just thought I'd spread the word as it's currently out of stock from Rich Dreher @ R&D Automation and he may or may not be producing them in the future (http://dreher.net/?s=projects/CFforAppleII&c=projects/CFforAppleII/main.php).
