Apple IIe 80 Column / 64K Diagnostic Test

Hi,
Is there a diagnostic test for the Apple IIe 80 Column / 64K Adapter that will identify the exact RAM chip that fails the memory test?
Thanks...

Clone ROM cards

I had a few clone motherboards that were missing their ROM cards so I had some made.

The cards are for the type of common clone that has 64K and a z80 on the mainboard. The minimum order to get boards made was 10 so I have a few more than I needed.

Bare boards US$4 plus $3.50 postage, if anyone needs one, PM me.for my Paypal details.

Looking for advice on a hanging IIGS

Hello,
I’ve been trying to diagnose a hanging IIGS.

Symptoms:
After 30mins of play, my IIGS hangs. The screen freezes and a ctrl-Apple-reset goes to a black screen, no boot sound. It never drops to monitor like I think a random crash should do. When I power off and on, the screen shows colored checker board. After sitting off for 10-15 minutes it works again. This is with the chassis closed, and display on top, e.g. hottest config.

With monitor on the side, and chassis open, it never hangs, it has to be an overheating problem. My first thought is PSU.

Applesoft II Blue Book dated May 1978

Does anyone have any info or history on the Applesoft II Blue Book dated May 1978? I have a Xerox copy of this manual. All I can find on-line is the August 1978 version.

New Saturn 128k compatible cards

I was reading a recent post about desirable cards and I noticed the Saturn 128k card was one that a number of people want.

Perfect timing because I have just completed the design for a reboot of the Saturn 128k memory card and they are much cheaper than current offerings I've seen.

I'm offering bare pcbs with gold plated edge connectors for US$10 plus $3.50 postage.
A download link for the GED files needed to program the GAL will be provided those that purchase a board.

PM me for my PayPal details if you want to order.

Enhanced II or II+?

I searched a little online and couldn't find where anyone had done this before. I did find where someone upgraded to 65c02 and had to replace a couple of chips to get the timing right.

Anyway, Apple never had an "enhancement" kit for the II? Could you upgrade the CPU and replace the ROMs with //e ROMs and get it to work? Nobody every tried that? Smile
