Diagnosing screen artifacts

You occasionally see a 'for parts' Apple ][ on eBay or other sites that is throwing up some garbage characters or graphics onto the screen. Is there a page or document that categorises these artifacts into possible points of failure? My machines are working at the moment but I feel like a handy reference guide could save me some trouble in the future.

I don't recall seeing anything like this in the Technical Reference Manual or elsewhere, but apologies if it's in an obvious place.

Can anyone tell me what revision this board is?

607-0187-a This is an enhanced //e Rev A or B?

I am having problems with the 80 extended column card. It keeps up giving ram errors. I have tried 2 cards with part # 607-0103-k No jumper on the board. without the board the //e passes its self tests. I really need help with this thanx.

Is it possible to get stereo sound out of a IIgs without taking up a slot?

Hello,

As the subject states I'd like to know if there's a known way to get stereo sound out of a IIgs without having to take up a slot with a stereo card. Detailed information on all the stereo sound options seems a bit limited; currently I have a Drew ][ TDX card, and it's nice, but a slotless solution would be nicer. Smile

Write your help question on a bathroom wall

My friend and I were discussing bit-copy programs from the early 80’s for the Apple II. He recalled that there was a program that when you pressed for help it told you to “write your question on a bathroom wall”. I recalled seeing that too and I thought it was Locksmith, but I tried a few Locksmith versions and I didn’t see a help option. Does anyone remember which program had this help joke?

Joysticks

for the II, II+ ? Or did they only release
a Joystick for the IIe, IIc? (rear connection)

Which also prompts me to why there wasn't
one released for the IIGS.
