Apple II

New apple IIE now what?

Just picked up a IIe, well two IIes and 5 disc drives a monitor and a 512k. I remember these in elementary school, but I'm unsure what to do with them now.

The easiest way to get a boot disc for the IIe?

And how to get Oregon trail on a 5.25 floppy, I have a package of Blanks

And once I get all that, can I boot from oregon trail or do I need to put the os in first then play the game?

Apple IIc monitor that only displays 3/4 of the screen

I have an Apple IIc monitor that only displays 3/4 of the screen.
The right 1/3 of the display fades.
This monitor was like this when I acquired it about 5 years.
No amount of adjustment helps apart from turning up the brightness.
Further, I don't have the circuit diagram.
Please see the attached photo of the screen.
Does anyone have any idea of where to look for the fault, or what the
fault might be? I suspect the horizontal deflection circuitry but would
appreciate advice before powering up the soldering iron.

Apple IIgs monitor only displaying a single horizontal line

I've already searched the forum to no avail, and I don't know the first thing to start troubleshooting this problem. The IIgs itself works fine through composite out, but the RGB monitor only displays this solitary horizontal line. I just acquired the monitor last month and have been waiting on a cable which just arrived today, so I have no idea if it's the monitor, or the cable, or something else entirely.

Help is definitely appreciated, haha. Thanks!

Apple II and IIgs Inheritance

To make a long story short, last year my parents' house was destroyed by a tornado. Luckily, all of their vintage computer stuff was in the detached garage which wasn't hit nearly as bad. They didn't want to move the computers etc. into their new home so I inherited it all.

I am now the proud owner of an Apple II (A2S1 - 15963) with a Sanyo VM4209 monitor and an Apple IIgs.

In addition to all of the hardware, they kept practically everything software related except boxes for the Apple II stuff. Follow the link to see what I've cataloged so far.
