APPLE IIe Garbage on screen help

Hi all I have an Apple IIe that has sat unused for many years. so far I've recapped the PSU (all voltages are now good) powering on gave a block pattern on screen with two or three odd colour blocks which stayed in the same position on screen when the computer is restarted. Next I replaced the 6502, now the computer responds with continual beeping and text scrolling down the screen pressing Ctrl apple apple reset stops this and displays IOU. FLAG. E5=1 3.9 the digits at the end change each time but the rest stays the same. can anyone tell me what this means.

What should I do to make my Apple II Ebay ready?

I recently came into a deal on an Apple II at an estate sale that I saved from being thrown in their large rental dumpster in the front yard. I didn't know anything about it and thought it would be fun to play around with until I got home and realized it to be a relatively low serial number and probably much more valuable to someone who is passionate about vintage computing.

My new Apple II

I was very fortunate recently to find an Apple II reasonably priced which had the raised power light on the keyboard. I wasted no time and bought it without asking any other questions.

When it arrived I found a fairly beat up Apple II case, mostly original except that the motherboard had been swapped out sometime in 1982.

This is an A2S1 and the serial number is 19521. (Early to mid 1979 is my guess)

The power supply looks to be original, and is dated underneath of Feb 12 1979.

Apple IIGS only B & W from composite video

Hi, I have an Apple IIgs computer hooked up to a Sony PVM monitor via composite video. However the video is only black and white. I tried both Apple II games an GS/OS. Any idea what would cause this?

A good day on eBay

It has been years since I've spotted a bargain on eBay before somebody else snatched it.

Today I picked up two $100 IIgs units. One appears to have a Superdrive controller and a microdrive. The other has a ZipGS and a 4MB RAM card.

I've always wanted a Superdrive controller, but was never willing to pay the going price. I don't have a Superdrive though. I don't suppose I can just put a 2MB floppy mechanism in an 800K drive, can I?

Digisolve VGP-64

Hi all I'm new hear and need some help and information on the above peripheral, I came across this board whilst having a clear out and all research suggests its a graphics card for the apple 2 it would of been external to the apple and connected with an expansion card which sadly I don't have and have only seen one picture of one online. is anyone familiar with this board? I see the interface card looks quite simple so it may be possible if anyone has any details on it i may be able to make one and try to get this thing up and running in one of my apple 2s.

Zip GSX not working with 64 Ko cache

Hello to all,

I'm trying to upgrade my Zip GSX v1.02 card with 64 Ko cache.
It is runnig at 10 Mhz with a 65C816-10. I'm using brand new SRAM UM61256K-15 and UM61256FK-15.

When 64 Ko is configured, the card crash within a minute under GS/OS 6.01. Sometimes, I can't even get it to load.
Without removing SRAM, if I get back to 32 Ko cache (only 2 chips are used), the card is working great.
