Apple IIgs Fatal System Error 0911

Ok, so I have managed to find my way back into the apple collecting hobby accidentally. Blum 3 I have since aquired an Apple IIgs that when I turn it on, I get Fatal System Error 0911. I know that the error has to do with ADB. I am going to try the lightbulb over the ADB chipset trick. I also have checked all the PSU voltages and they are within half a volt. Have I missed anything? The machine in question appears to be a ROM 0 upgraded to ROM 1, and I have tried it without anything else connected, and the memory board removed. Anything else?

Asimov Apple II collection size (silly question, probably)?

Hey, all. I downloaded the 25 GB ZIP file of the ASIMOV Apple II archive off of the Internet Archive. When I go to unzip it, Windows 7 tells me I need 734 PB (as in petabytes, no, that's not a typo) of space to extract it all. Am I doing something horribly wrong, or is this really compressed at a 29.3 million to 1 ratio?

Something You Don't See Every Day: A Color Apple IIc Monitor

Javmaster on eBay has performed this conversion:

A Color IIc Monitor using an LCD Screen in a IIc Monitor case.

Pretty darn neat, I would say.

Apple IIe PAL - Color Killer Switch Problem

After repairing the PSU and the shorts on the mainboard, everything works fine except some strange misbehaving of the composite video output. First I've had it connected to an 9 inch IIc monochrome monitor, the color killer switch on the PAL mainboard was switched to MONO. The picture quality wasn't great at all out of the IIe compared to the output of my IIc connected to the same monitor - but was getting better after a few minutes of warming up. So I can rule out the monitor itself.

Apple IIc 9 inch monitor repair - Flyback replacement

I have an Apple IIc monochrome 9" monitor which seems to have a bad flyback transformer.

The model number is G091S or G092S.

Sams Computerfacts listed the part number as TMF-2222(1) ... same number is on the actual flyback itself. It's an 8-pin.

Since the tubes (NEC, Hitachi, Samsung) in the monitor where widely used at the time for industrial purposes, I would assume that there are suitable flyback replacements still available.

Does anyone know where to get a replacement or which ones to look for?

Help needed with Apple IIe Power Supply repair (ASTEC) [SOLVED]

After reading David Finnigan's New Apple II User's Guide, I've decided to revieve my dad's old IIe. I remember, back when I was a kid, this was his most priced possession, quite litarally. I've grown up in the Russian occupied part of Germany and at this time in the 80's, computers - especially Apple II's - were pretty much not accessable for people or insanely expensive.

Apple II rev 0 with factory toggle supply on eBay

I'm not shilling for the owner, I just looked at the pics on my iPhone and was very surprised.

That power supply is pretty rare for an Apple II to still be installed. The only rarer one is the silk screened supply in the very early models. Too bad it's missing the power Dome light on the keyboard. Still a pretty cool system.
