CFFA or SCSI card?

Hi guys. My beloved Apple IIgs is getting a much needed color monitor soon, which means it might be seeing quite heavy use. Floppys are all good fun, but tedious and slow. Plus, I want a full install of GS/OS with all my apps ready in a couple minutes when I turn on my IIgs.

Problem is, I have 2 external hard drives for my IIgs, one of them is dead, the other working. I have the cables, terminators, and even software for them, but no card.

"What Are These People Thinking?????"

Good Evening All,

I just finished checking out the Vintage Apple items up on eBay for the umpteenth time this weekend. Checking on pcbs and such for sale. I came across an Apple IIc Plus computer for sale. It's price....$500.00
as a "Buy It Now" item.

The description has it as a one owner machine in very good condition."Very Rare". It even comes with a power cord and a "Six page description copied from Wikipedia".

Configuration settings and looking for parts as well

Greetings:

I am just now dusting off my old Apple IIe and wanted to hook up a modem and my imagewriter ii printer to it. I have one super serial card and was wondering if I need to install a second SS card in slot one for the printer or even if that is possible or is there another interface I should consider.

need //e enhanced emblom or disk ][ drive #'s emblom

looking for a Apple //e Enhanced Emblem that goes over the power light indicator? This is the only thing that I have not been able to get , and this would complete my //e enhanced system , also I am looking for some original Disk ][ Drive #'s for my driver. If anyone has any or knows about where I can get any of these , any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

What movies do you remember that showed an Apple ][ computer in it?

Can anyone name any old flicks that showed Apple ]['s in theme? I was cracking up the last night when I caught National Lampoon's Family Vacation , and in the opening part of the movie , it shows an Apple II PLUS sitting on a table , but if you look closely , theres no Monitor Cable hooked up! It does however show everything else , the II PLUS unit with the normal rainbow colored ribbon cable going to a Disk ][ Drive! Was neat seeing it in the movie , but rather odd when I took a second look again and noticed that it had no Monitor Cable going out of the II PLUS!

Keyboard buffer?

you guys remember this feature? I would be doing a long catalog of a disk and while it was cataloging , I was able to TYPE commands in , for example CATALOG , and it was like I had a keyboard buffer or something like that? I can't remember if it was a printer card like grapler or something like that that let me have extra buffer in memory to do this? If anyone remembers this can ya let me know? I would love to put something like that in one of my II+'s and get it working!

Thanks.

Apple II/+ power indicator light fix

Awhile back I posted a question on where I could find a replacement bulb for the Apple II+ Indicator light.

Mike W had suggested usin a "Grain of Rice" or a "Grain of Wheat" type incadecent bulb.

Instead I used a white LED with a max current rating of 25mA. A Radio Shack item and a 100 Ohm resistor. This configuration only draws 16mA or roughly 1/6 the power of the original bulb.

The LED voltage drop was measured at 3.4 volts, so a 100 ohm resistor in series with this LED across the 5 volt power supplied, would limit the current rating to 16mA.
