New user looking for spare power light part for original Apple II

Do you know where I can find a spare power light under the power key (raised style) for an original Apple II?

Is this an easily replacable part (i.e. does it just screw off) or is it welded to the motherboard/keyboard?

Thanks for your help.

Applesoft BASIC questions...weird ones ;-)

If at the Applesoft Basic prompt, I enter a single digit and hit return will it give me a syntax error? Will it also give me a beep?

What about if I typed a single letter at the prompt. Will this cause a syntax error with a beep in all cases?

I am asking this in order to test an Apple II computer. Thanks for the replies

What are your favourite and most used late 70s or early 80s games/applications for the Apple II (not e or c)

I am thinking of putting together a collection of a few games and apps for home use:
I am only interested in games and non educational apps from the 70s and possibly very early 80s
Particularly interested in text based adventures.
Some popular ones I have on my list are:

ZORK I
SubLogic Flight Simulator II
Choplifter
Visicalc

Which ones are your favourites?
The sorts of apps you wouldn't mind firing up even today.

cc65 - mixing C and assembler

I have some questions about the cc65 compiler, and how to mix C and assembler. I have taken a routine written in assembler, and "encapsulated" it in a C function. But some things are a bit tricky...

1) according to the documentation for the inline assembler, one can use the format specifier %o to reference a local variable in the stack. But it does not mention how to access that variable. I looked at the assembler code from a compiled C function, and saw that this C code:

Apple ][+ problems

Yesterday, i recieved 3 apple II+
One works pretty well buy I have an "Expandaram" card that wont work with it.
The second one just boots to a screen that's just one solid blank color.
The last one was working for awhile, I was using it and went to wiggle disconnect a cable on the inside, my hand slipped and hit one of the cards, knocking it out of a slot, no the computer shows just 4 bars on the screen. I don't know what i killed on the motherboard, but i hear that pretty much every chip is still available except the roms.

looking for Apple II Emulator on Linux

Hello,
i'm looking for a Apple II Emulator that work's fine with Linux (Ubuntu 7.10)
At this time I use DOSBOX (Dos Emulator) and later a ApplePC 2.52 for Dos

Did anyone know Apple II Emulator that works with Linux.

It should be easy to use and install like AppleWin for Windows.
or should I try AppleWin with a Windows Emulator like Wine (Wine is a Windows Emulator)?
