AUX RAM howto

Let's say that I have 256kb of RAM on my AUX card, and also 256kb from my transwarp card.

The question is: How do I use them?

ProDOS user disk only gives out 128kb (which is 64kb + 64 kb, in contrast to 64kb + 512kb of mine)
/RAM partition only shows 64kb of space available.

So how do I make them usable?
Thank you

Apple ][+ Power Supply Capacitor

Hi everyone,
A capacitor blew up in my Apple ][+ last night, and I have to order a replacement. I only have a rudimentary understanding of buying correct replacement capacitors (I know how to solder and everything). Since this is the oldest and most mint computer in my collection, I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right to prevent damaging anything else by installing an incorrect capacitor.
The markings on this capacitor are as follows:
One side:
Rifa
40/085/56
PME271M610

Other side:
250V~MP
fo=4,9MHz
565-1-ALD2

Problem creating .DSK images with Applewin

I seem to be having difficulties creating disk images with applewin. I have loaded in a DOS 3.3 System Master disk and booted it up ( In applewin ) , then I clicked on DRIVE 2 and typed in the name of the disk image I wanted to create along with the file extension , example .DSK or .DO , once back in applewin , I typed INIT HELLO , S6 , D2 snd it would format the image correctly . But the problem now is , applewin pops up and says Cannot open file , unable to recognize file format?

Brother can you spare a gasket...

I am preparing to retro-bright one of my old IIC's that was pretty yellow. I have it completely disassembled but ran into one snag. The upper rubber keyboard gasket was so dry and brittle it was just fragments of crumbly rubber. Any chance of finding that part anywhere for sale...came up empty on an Ebay search? If not I figure I could make my own using the lower gasket as a template. The lower keyboard gasket was still in good shape....surprised it wasn't in the same shape as the other.

MEM/SOFT MEM/DOS

In the past, in france there was a system in france

composed of:

a kind of special language card with the mem/dos system in eprom
a hard disk controller for cynthia D140 hard disks
a cynthia d140 hard disk

there was also a multiuser version with:

a network board in the station
a network board in the server (the server was named mem/16 (up to 16 stations)

the software exists (floppy disks)
but is there any refernce to the content of eproms / schématics of the board

I'm looking for the mem/dos board
or at least the eprom content + schematics to rebuild one

Nice Artworks on Manuals

I would like to give a little comment on how creative people back in the days.
Specifically I am using artworks in the books on Apple II for example.

Take for example Randy Hyde's Assembly Language book.
How inspiring it is to have trippy pictures of computer and its inside acting as if they're people.

Also the book Beneath Apple ProDOS with Isaac Newton and falling *DISK ][* instead of Apple (I LMAOed on this one)
- I thank Mr. SpeedyG for this one...
