Apple IIe Numeric Keypad

I am thinkin about getting one of the external numeric keypads for my Apple //e, but am unsure where to connect it. They look to have a DB9 type connector. I don't know of that type of connector on the motherboard, so do you have to have a special card to plug it in to?

Thanks,
Jeff

New retro computing site: neoncluster.com

Hi everyone,
I wanted to let you all know that my new retro computing site, neoncluster.com, has finally gone live. It's still a bit of a work in progress, and you may come across some bad grammar, spelling mistakes, and the new look and feel still needs to be applied to some blog sections, but all in all I'm very happy with it.

nonworking apple IIe *Help!!

Hello all.
i recently aquired a apple IIe... had been sitting in a barn for who knows how long. it had years of grime all over it... keyboard was literally almost unrecognizable. i completley dissasembled it, washed the case in the dishwasher (much to the mothers dismay lol), cleaned the motherboard and psu, as well as the monochrome monitor. i then went to try and boot it up.

Apple II/IIGS VGA out card

Okay, i've been pondering about this for quite some time, and I can't get it out of my head for any real length of time, so I suppose I have to announce that I plan on creating a Apple II/IIGS VGA card. My background is that of a Java/C++ developer with hardware background, however I am a vintage Apple/Macintosh collector/fan. I have a bunch of old macs, and my special IIGS with a CFFA card. This CFFA card is what started my quest to make a VGA card.

Apple IIgs SCART converter

I have a Commodore 1702 color monitor which takes a standard RCA plug for video in. Would this device successfully allow me to plug my Apple IIgs into my monitor and c=get color.
