Seeking program desperately

Hi to all, friends.

Im seeking a Apple 2e - plus for many years and i dont found it.

Im seeking at least the name of it.

Info that i know about it:

1 - A relationship program;

2 - The user input their complete name on it;

3 - The user answer questions about themes;

4 - The program cross database and compare the answers with answers from others users added early;

5 - The program show the compatilibility between users of different gender through of percentage %.

DOS 3.3 alternatives?

I believe there were several alternatives to Apple's DOS 3.3 back in the day, resulting in faster file-loading, more free space and other features. But after all these years away from the Apple II memory (mine that is) is lacking on the subject, so a few questions:

Copying single files

Is it possible to copy single files between Apple II 5.25" disks?

I've looked through the DOS manual but I can only find info on how to copy entire disks.

Disk II - Drive Running but shows 0 RPM

Hi Everyone,

Using Apple II software diagnostic tools to test a Disk II floppy drive. Interestingly trying to calibrate the disk speed the unit is returning 0 RPM (but you can hear the drive actively seeking and the red light on front of drive is illuminated). I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the correct direction of what part of the circuit is responsible for calculating drive speed.

Thanks all!

Vertical "rolling" from II+ monitor

I have a minor frustration regarding my Apple II+ clone's display output: it keeps rolling vertically and is very hard to set in place.

Apple IIe misbehaving - diags not running, no serial boot etc

Hi All,

Got an Apple IIe which is giving various issues - history of the machine is unknown, but apart from being dirty there appears to be no physical damage to the PCB or keyboard.

Issues are:

1. Refuses to boot to the on-board diagnostics - this was working and giving a SYSTEM OK message, but now ignores the Apple keys being pressed on power up

2. With a Super Serial card installed in slot 2 and typing IN#2, CTRL-A will sometimes give the 'Apple SSC:' prompt, sometimes not returning the ] prompt

Can't load games using the casset Input

Hi,

i dug out an old ITT 2020 (apple II for europe before the europlus came out) from my dads collection of old computers.

After reseating some chips it boots just fine and basic basic-commands work.

However i can't load games from http://asciiexpress.net/gameserver/

I hear a beep at 4s of the hifi or lofi audio file but when it reaches the 9s mark i get

ERR ?Syntax Error in 49352

for the hifi file and

ERR ?Syntax Error in 803

for the lofi file

Apple ][+ Super Serial Card problems

Hi All!

I've come across this forum a couple of times and everyone here has been very helpful getting me up and running on my ][+.  The machine works, and I have been able to use the casette ports to get some disks and games.  That was a good time, so I decided to order a Super Serial Card and see if I can get that working with ADTPro.  I'm having an issue where everything that comes across on the serial port is showing up as a bunch of carats, at symbols, and slashes (^^/@@@@) etc.

Apple II video ROMs

I'm currently extending an Apple II emulator with proper support for various video ROMs and keyboard layouts.

I found several Apple II video ROM variants (asimov & co): French, German and UK variants. There's even a French-Canadian ROM. But was that all? Those variants seem to be all that's available on the usual download sites.

Apple IIc ADTPro Floppy Formatting Error "2D"

Hello, I just got my IIc working and tried using ADTPro to copy some games to floppy disks. When I try to format a 5.25" disk with ADTPro I get an error message that reads "Unrecognized error = 2D". I'm using a two sided, double density disk. Does anyone here have any idea what this error means, or what could be wrong? Thanks!
