Apple 3.5 drive isn't recognized on Platinum IIe

I just got a Platinum IIe. I put my 5 1/4 I/O card in the IIe and both drives seem fine. I put my 3.5 Drive controller card (603-9107-A LIRON) in and attached my 3.5 drives (A9M0106) drives, first both daisy chained, then individually. At no time were any of the 3.5 drives accessed. I have the 3.5 card in slot 5 and the 5 1/4 card in slot 6.

Yesterday or the day before, the 4 drives were daisy chained to a IIgs and worked.

Does anyone have any pointers in troubleshooting this?

Thanks.

Correct 6502 for an Apple II Rev 0?

Does anyone know what the correct 6502 for an original Apple II Rev 0 is? Is it just a black plastic MOS 6502 with date code for 1977? Did they ship any Rev 0's with white 6502's?

Thanks!

Display dimming while booting program

I have an Apple IIe, using an LCD TV as a composite monitor. Video is a simple composite to composite connection between the TV and IIe.
When I try to boot ProTERM (a terminal emulation program), there is a certain spot that the video dims. The disk keeps chugging along, and then the screen brightens.
Does anyone have any ideas what this might be, or what to check?
Any help appreciated.

Are there any keyboard commands that will tell me how the Super Serial Card is set up?

ADTPro/Uthernet ethernet file transfer chokes on a big file?

I can transfer a 3.5" disk via Uthernet II/ethernet fine, but if I try to transfer my flash card (32 meg), the transfer apparently chokes. It slows to a crawl soon after starting, displaying 'xxxx's across the screen. I was wondering if I am doing something wrong?

I can transfer the 32 meg file fine using the serial connection (SSC). But I am hoping to eventually use that Super Serial card for something else.

Just wondering if anybody has a word of advice.

Thanks,

Looking to start a DIY ASCII Keyboard project

So I found http://www.apple1notes.com/old_apple/Peripheral_Boards_files/Keyboard%20Note.pdf after giving up on a late model II+ keyboard I am just fed up with trying to repair.

There don't seem to be any instructions or any sort of guidance on how this was done. Looking for advice on sourcing parts and getting a PCB manufactured. I think I am good with the electronics but any information on how the ASCII keystrokes actually work is welcome. I've never attempted anything like this from scratch before so any advice is appreciated.
