mame emulation of apple iie

Hi all,

 

Fresh off of a forth deep dive, I'm looping back around to  the 6502 and my platform for doing the investigation is the apple iie. I really like the iie as platform, primarily because it's immediate (boots directly into basic) has immediate access to the monitor (call -151) and it's just cool - takes me back to my commodore pet, but more polished, and because in 2025, there is so much documentation, books, you name it. The resources are astounding considering the iie came out 40+ years ago.

Identifying clone clock card

Good morning, someone know if this card is a clone of anything?

MouseDesk recognize it as "Thunderclock" but I think this is some type of standard, any related utilities that I try don't let me to set up time and date.

I also attach dump of eprom, wich A8, A9, A10 and A11 is driven by I/O pins of 6821.

The board has space for two jumpers, but it was never soldered. These jumpers only set to 1 or 0 two I/O pins of 6821.

The broken resistor is only for battery recharge.

No sound icon on bootup GSOS

I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled GSOS v6.04 on my Apple IIGS but now I cannot find where to enabled the startup sound on bootup. I get sound fine when playing games. Anyone had any ideas to to get it back?

Box for motherboard and power supply?

Has anyone found a convenient box to hold or store an Apple II series motherboard and power supply?

 

I have a system I knocked together from an Apple IIe motherboard to which I added a PSU, a few cards etc. I've had it on a workbench, mounted on nylon standoffs, but it would be nice to put it in some kind of enclosure. Not looking for an original or current-day case (I use a USB keyboard via the RetroConnector). It would be great if it's clear, but not looking to spend a lot. Just a simple box would work.

Last call

I have lots of Apple 2 floppies mostly pirated software and some legit copies most on 5.25.  I have some 3.5 disks with Appleworks and other programs. I have blank 3.5 that can be formatted along with 3 5.25 disk drives. Only 1 works but the others can be used for parts.  My wife gave me the ultimatum - "That shit's gotta go!"So, take a shot and it will only cost you $10 plus shipping for everything.

Recommended sound card

I’m looking for a sound card that will output stereo sound on my Apple IIGS. Which one does everyone recommend that had wide compatibility with games? How many games for the IIGS support stereo sound? Do 8bit Apple IIE also support stereo sound if i have the sound card installed?
