Death by interrupts - ugh

Apple II interrupts, its like the solar eclipse, strangely, you want to stare at it but you know you'll go blind for doing so. Its like whatever OS you booted with is going to destroy any jump vectors in memory so whats it all about? Finding yourself having to read prodos manuals for MLI code for IRQ installation!! This is terrible.... Im finding little tidbits of info, but it assumes different run strategies were used so that DOS doesnt destroy interrupts. This is how i do it on a commodore below for NMI or IRQ

IIGS Stack

According to the tech manual, you are allowed to
have the stack anywhere you like and upto 64K.

Does anyone know if you can have multiple stacks?
If so, how is this done?

Help with Modem MGR Apple ][+

I recently got my Apple ][+ working again and have been trying to install a compatible modem software so I could dial into my own linux server. So far I have gone with Modem MGR for it's compatibility. I was able to successfully install the settings to have it boot in 80 column mode and get to the menu. Unfortunately one of the menu items is missing. From watching videos of other people doing the same thing they use ":" to enable VT100 emulation. I don't have this option on my menu and I was wondering if I didn't have the right version of the software.

Classic IDE for Apple II

I recently placed a preorder for one of these cards. The batch is estimated to ship next October. My IIGS has been lacking a decent hard drive until now. I have the SD Disk II that can emulate hard drive images too but it's not very speedy, so I thought I'd give Classic IDE a go now that they have a new batch coming up.

Has anyone here one of these cards?

Possible fried chips on Apple II+

I picked up a pristine II+ years ago but the original owner says that he thinks he fried a ROM chip and possibly others... I have never plugged it in, in fear that it would blow up on me Smile

Apple IIe - Intermittent random characters displayed on boot

Hi everybody, I have just got myself an Apple IIe for the very first time. I have not used anything apple before especially not older stuff so I am still learning the ropes!

I have put a new capacitor in the power supply because that blew up the first time I turned it on. That all seems to work fine so first repair is a success!

Diagnosing screen artifacts

You occasionally see a 'for parts' Apple ][ on eBay or other sites that is throwing up some garbage characters or graphics onto the screen. Is there a page or document that categorises these artifacts into possible points of failure? My machines are working at the moment but I feel like a handy reference guide could save me some trouble in the future.

I don't recall seeing anything like this in the Technical Reference Manual or elsewhere, but apologies if it's in an obvious place.
