Prodos program trace step by step

Hello all,

I am writing a ASM program to run under prodos 2.4.3

The program is working well with my Virtual II emulator but when I run it on a real IIe, I have some issues.

During the execution, I am having the * prompt

I want to trace my program step by step, the starting point is 0x2000

when I enter in monitor

*2000L

I can see my program listing but

when I do

*2000S

and then

TRACE or STEP nothing happen.

Need help identifying cables

I recently received a haul of some Apple hardware including lots of cables, SCSI devices, and two computers (thank you Peter!). In going through the cables, I've come across some cables that I can't identify. Please help if you are able.

One is a DB15 M/M cable that has pins 1 through 7, 9 through 11, and pin 13.

The other is a DB15 M/M with pins 1 through 3, 5 through 6, 9 through 10, and pin 13.

Apex OS for Apple II?

Does anyone have any .dsk images with the Apex operating system for Apple?  I've searched around unsuccessfully.   I've seen a few images for something called Apex II, but that doesn't seem to be the same thing, as it runs under ProDOS and was created ~1984.

I have an Applesauce, but apparently it can not write a .woz file to disk. Does anyone know of a device that can?

Asking for hint: annunciators and HGR

Hi everyone !

It is not the first time I read some quick phrase about Annunciators implying different behavior of HGR colors.

Are they talking about the 4 Annunciator lines in the joystick DIP socket, or something else?

Thank you all !

Julian

DRAM test EPROM for all Apple II (except IIgs maybe)

Recently one of my 'IWMless' beta testers ran into a problem with his Apple IIc and needed a memory test program. Since the machine would refuse to boot ("Check Disk Drive" error message), the best way is to remove the firmware ROM (always socketed) and plug in an EPROM with a memory test.

Can you build a IIGS slot based DVI video card for $10 (USD)?

Can you build a IIGS slot based DVI video card for $10 (USD)? Yes, it can be done.

Would you want to build a IIGS slot based DVI video card for $10 (USD)? Now, that's a more intersting and difficult question to answer. The dury is still out on that one.

For all you sensationalists out there, note that this is the build price and not the sell price.

Trouble with Disk II Analog Card

Hello, first time poster here! I had a stash of Disk II Drives that I have been fixing up and am down to one more, but cannot figure out the issue. The Disk II Analog Card had a faulty 74LS125 which has been changed out, but it will still not read any disks. However, when I insert a different, known working analog card, it reads fine, so I know the head is okay. I have tested each resistor, transistor, diode, and capacitor but still cannot figure it out. I have also changed out each IC chip with working ones with no avail.
