For Sale--1400cs, 250mhz G3, 48mb RAM, 750mb HD, 8x cd-rom, OS 8.1, Wi-Fi card, etc.

I have a 1400cs w/ specs as listed in the title. I recently bought the computer and upgrade, but found myself in need of funds for a new laptop to replace my ibook G4, so everything is going--including the Cube I just sold, which was a pity. I may be willing to sell some of the following pieces individually-look for items with an asterisk (*) :

-Powerbook 1400cs, as stated in title *(might consider selling the proc. upgrade or Wi-Fi card alone)
-Original graphite and clear bookcovers w/ inserts--perfect condition! *
-VST ZIP drive with a couple of 100mb disks *
-original floppy drive unit *
-two batteries (one dead, the other holding a minimal charge-less than 30 minutes)
-original AC adapter--no frays or shorts, still working perfectly
-PC card modem-33.6 w/ x-jack *
-PC card ethernet-10/100 w/ dongle *
-generic laptop bag--holds all this pretty snugly

The last thing is a cherry laminate bookcover--this is the reason I bought the computer in the first place. This is not paint or adhesive sticker, this is the real deal! I believe it is one of the Bookwares covers that I have searched for in the past. I would sell this seperately for $50, but I will keep it if there are no takers. Just in case I get another 1400 in the future.

If anyone wants pics of any of this please visit here to see the original listing for the computer before my upgrades. Without the Cherry bookcover, I would ask $195 for the whole package, including the G3 upgrade. Otherwise, all reasonable offers will be entertained on all items indicated w/ the asterisk.

Thanks for looking, and post or e-mail any questions!

parts

Would you be willing to part out the Zip drive, cdrom, and PC cards? I have a PB1400cs at 400 mHz, but I cant do much with it without these parts. It's quite a pity, after all the money i've dumped into it.

Goin' to eBay...

Since there have been no takers beyond the "'I want that' and then never e-mail back" variety, all the above is going to eBay. Thanks to all that e-mailed, and to those who unburdened me of some of this stuff!

Sorry!

Because it was down for so long I had to go ahead and sell the rest of the package on eBay. I am sorry, but I had to move it--already bought my new Powerbook, so needed the money!

Again, sorry! I will have more 1400-related stuff to sell in a bit, but nothing along the lines of what I had.

thanks for your interest though!

Nice Business Dealings!!!

You didn't list the bookwares cover with the CS on your Ebay listing(s). I still would like to purchase that from you.

RE: Nice Business Dealings!!!

I am unsure what you mean by this. I was in a situation where I had to move these items, my only means of communication with you had broken down, and I made a decision that I had to make based on the circumstances. It was not meant to be an end run on any offer you made, it was just the decision I had to make in order to get the funds quickly. That is a business decision, even though this is not my business. Again, I am sorry that I had to make that decision, and if that decision created an inconvenience for you.

Bookwares Cover

That "nice business dealings" subject line was not meant for you. It was in my clipboard and I pasted, thinking it was something else. That's what I get for having 4 browser windows open at once.

Ok, back to your stuff. What I was stating is, it doesn't appear (from your Ebay completed listings) that you sold the "cherry wood cover" for the 1400. I still would like to buy that. Is it available?

MaxTek

P.S. I sent you my email through your finished Ebay listing.

No worries...

Just wanted to make sure that there were no hard feelings. Caught me off guard a little.

Yes, the Cherry cover is still available. Just for the sake of full disclosure, I cannot be certain that this is a genuine "Bookwares" cover. I just know that it is a Cherry wood veneer and it is very nice. Never having actually seen a Bookwares cover firsthand, all I can say is that I believe that it was produced by that company.

With that said, the price is the same at $50. Let me know if you still want it, taking the above into account. It'd be about $8 for USPS Priority shipping. So if $58 sounds good to you. Let me know via a post here. If you pay via Paypal, I can have it out to you on Tuesday.

Thanks!

PM'ed you

I thought about it and since you sold the G3 card and ram that was in our deal I find no reason to continue to buy the aesthetic piece. I really needed the processor and memory.

...I'll pass on the cover.
