Using Apple IIgs SCSI drives on Mac Performa 550 w/ IIe Card

I have a IIgs SCSI hard drive (for my Rom 3 IIgs) I have a IIe card in my Performa 550, and I want to put files (games etc downloaded off the internet) on the SCSI drive using the Performa, can this be done? If so what will I need to know?

If the Mac sees the ProDOS partitions, then they can be dragged to the SmartPort control panel in the Apple IIe config. It will support 4 partitions at a time, although you can have more and swap them out with drag/drop.

If the hard disk was formatted with some custom non-Apple utility (like CMS perhaps) on the IIgs, then the Mac may not see the partitions. Not sure how you could fix that.

Hook it up and see, being careful with the SCSI ID's and termination. The ProDOS partitions will show up on the Mac Desktop.
