Good afternoon all,
I know there are several folks who probably have this information.
What are the specs for the 50 Pin slots for the Apple II, II Plus, and IIe?
Also, is there a particular supplier(s) that I can order them from?
Thanks in advance!
Steven
Hello Steven,
well first i will list several partnumbers of used slotconnectors:
2HW25CO-111 7K

this last number will offer the best possibility.....
it´s a ordernumber that is still valid.
the company that has that connectors with that partnumber in stock is:

Thanks Speedy.
You need a 25 position, dual readout, edge connector with .200 row spacing and .100 pin spacing. Pins should be P.C. Tail. They are fairly common, but you have to be careful about the pins. EDAC 395-050-524-202 will work, if you can find it.

Mike w
Thanks Mike.
Apparently EDAC 395-050-524-202 cost $9.25 @ and come in lots of 25.
$231.00 from Digikey.
I guess I'm going to hold off a bit. lol

Hello Steven,
that was exactly the same experience i made with the slots
for the Apple-1. I was forced to order 25 slots allthough i only needed
10 of them...... that´s the reason i recommended to ask the retailer, if
they have any kind of smaller business reseller......
for the EDAC connectors for example there should be some kind of
shop that works with digikey and takes their stuff in stock....
the problem with the Apple-1 connectors was the fact that no reseller
would hold them in stock because they are out of date....
but maybe you could have luck with a reseller like unicorn electronics....
they hold stock to old stuff .... but they are indeed expensive....

edgeconnectors are listed at:
http://www.unicornelectronics.com/Connectors/coce20pc.html
but you should first call them to be sure to order the correct thing.....
(phone-number is also somewhere in that site )...
and they demand minimum order of 25,00 bucks... and transportationfee...
