Hi everyone,
I don't post much but so this is a few months in the past. In the middle 2022 I was intrigued when the broken Apple Computer A motherboard prototype of the Apple 1 sold at auction. I have been modifying and producing small batch quantities of Apple 1 replica motherboards for awhile now in Canada under the Spartan name and I have managed to get them quite close to the original so I figured why not make a working replica of the Apple Computer A motherboard.
I wanted it to look like the prototype but also to be similar to the Apple 1 computer with the jumper area markings. It's a clean look without the mess of jumper wires on the back like the prototype so it is a bit of a hybrid between the two board designs. I designed the board and sent it off for production in September of 2022 and I built the working board in October of 2022.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Justin
Hi Justin, Bravo! I want one of these. I've been asking around to see if anyone was willing to make a board like this, and it appears you have done so.
Do you have any extras (bare boards) you'd be willing to part with? PM me if so. Thanks in advance.
Thanks. I haven't decided if I want to sell bare boards yet but I probably will in the near future.
Justin.
