Apple II emulator for Raspberry Pi

A few days ago a friend sent me a link for an Apple II Raspberry Pi emulator. As far as I can see, it's a linapple emulator, placed in the Raspbian startup sequence, to get faster boot time.It is a free open source emulator, so you can download, record it on a micro sd card and use it on your raspberry pi if you like.I tried it on Pi3 and it works without any issues. It launches directly in DOS 3.3 and from there you can use a large amount of software (mostly games), found on this micro sd card image.

Here's the link:

Need help identifying this Apple ][+

I have several Apple ][+ machines I am trying to return to functional...   this one is missing it's badge on the cover, and the internals look different from all the others.

I am including some photos to show what I mean..

For example, this logic board doesn't have the 74LS02 at A14.

Backing up an old Vulcan 40 MB drive

I am very fortunate to have both my personal Apple //e and my brother's Apple //gs.   Back in the day we really loved these machines and tended to go overboard maxing them out with Applied Engineering tech.

Well recently my dad reminded me that he still had both in storage at this place, and I've been trying to carefully bring them both back to life.

Both have Vulcan power supply/drive units - 40MB each.  The Vulcan card in the //e has the Rev 1.4 40M Rom (1989) and the //gs has the Rev 1.2 VUL GS/40 Rom (1989).

//e enchanced open apple / joystick button 0 issue

Greetings everyone, been searching for a solution to this for a long time and just now stubled across these forums.  I hope someone here can help!

I've got my original //e enhanced from back in 1984 and it has survived well all these years.  I've only had to replace the RAM in it about two years ago to keep it running.

It has, for quite a long while, developed an issue thats extremely frustrating as it affects just about every single game:

Mountain Computer Music System hardware fix

Hi all,I'm trying to use a Music System into an Apple II+.I got the message "** ERROR ** MUSIC BOARD NOT IN MACHINE  PRESS SPACE BAR WHEN READY" when trying to use the card with the software.I have tried different disks images, different motherboards, different slots. I even bought another Music System. No luck. Then I look into the manual, always RTFM :-)At the beginning, there is a notice stating that if you encounter my problem (and others) you have to install a little board with 100 pF capacitor at location B11, where a 74LS08 is. I'm trying to figure out how can I reproduce this board.

Trouble with ADTPro ESDos while bootstrapping an Apple //e over audio

Hi all! My first post here!

I've been having a problem with my Apple //e when trying to make a DOS floppy disk using ADTPro from bare metal using the audio cable, everything works fine in ProDOS when I send it, but when I go to format the disks, it just says I/O Error, but the drives at least spin up (this will be relevant later). I even tried both of my 3.5 in. drives to no avail. So then I tried to use ESDos, because it turns out, that's what ADTPro recommended for my situation.

ADTPro and backing up a full Profile HDD from Apple /// to OSX

Hi there -

First time poster, brand new member. Im trying to backup an Apple /// Hard Drive to my Mac using ADTPro. It works, apparently, however the image.po file cannot be seen. OSX shows the folder is 5 MB in size but ZERO items inside.

As a result, I am feeling dimwitted and have no idea what I have possibly done wrong. I set the working directory, named a file... I have also done nothing and checked what happened.

Anyone done a full image and had weird behaiour like this?

Thanks;
