Apple II

Use modern graphic file on Apple II

Suppose I have a .jpg or .png or whatever, and I want to display it on a color Apple II monitor. Is there a procedure for this? If not, then what about converting the image into 40-column ASCII text?

II europlus crash after a few minutes

Another strange problem
My II europlus crashes 1 or 2 minutes after I power it up.
If I keep at it (switching it on and off, reseating chips) it ends up not coming on at all, just a screen of random characters , as if there is a ram problem.

Spent a few hours last night and gave up. Just could not get it to boot at all

Refurb Apple II, how to get the disk II working

Have a pet project I go back to every few months - rebuild of an early Apple II. To date, PSU caps fixed, keyboard encoder chip issue fixed, and all good now, as far as starting up with no disk.

I have a couple of Disk IIs,but I don't know if they are any good. So, any suggestions on how to proceed? I could order a DOS 3.3 master from ebay, I guess, but I am pretty sure most of them would be worthless. I have a super serial card, so I believe if I had a known working disk II drive, I could burn my own.

Platinum //e - Softcard Locking Up

Hi,

I recentlty added an original Microsoft Softcard to Apple //e, Slot 4.

I've been having an awful of trouble with it. The system boots up, and many things works like Basic, etc.

If I type STAT, it returns the free space on disk A. If I type STAT B, it just locks up.

I have loaded other programs and they have locked up. Wordstar 4 locks up.

Is this card not compatible with the 65C02 timings? Do I need to get a different CP/M card?

Tecmar LabMaster AD211 Card

Just got this card today with hopes of gathering as much info on the card as I can.

The TecMar LabMaster AD211 was one of the first multi-functional data acquisition cards for the Apple ][, though the card was mostly produced in 1980 to 1981. In it's essence, this is an 8-channel Analogue to Digital Converter Board. The Company was located in Ohio, USA.

The board's claim to fame:

Needed: Laser 128 card external enclosure

Does anyone have the external card enclosure for a Laser 128? We need to get one (as a tax-deductible donation for the Vintage Computer Federation museum) or at least get enough pictures/details to replicate it. We are making a Lego programming station for kids/parents and we chose to base it around the Laser because it's small (like a //c) but has the necessary card slot (like a //e). Works fine with a card directly in the slot where the enclosure would attach, but we can't have the card fully exposed like that for kids to (ahem) POKE at.

I'm hoping someone has seen something like this in their travels and can shed some light on what I'll need to do to fix my new (old) Apple IIc.

How to set up the 'super R mod'

Hi all

Got my II euro plus working after recapping the power supply

This machine came with a 'super R mod II'. I believe it is a tv modulator so I can connect the II to a normal color TV.

This is it was disconnected when I got it.

There is an RGB encoder card and the super R mod II board. I think i am supposed to connect the 2 of them together.
