Question on 5.25" drives

I have two slim 5.25" drives.  One is from a Laser 128, the other is a Maple drive.  They both seem to basically work (drive spins, light comes on) but the stepper motor doesn't move the head.  When off, I can manually move the heads without issue.

On the Laser drive, if I slide the head back to track 0, Copy2Plus can verify track 0 but then cannot advance the head for the rest of the tracks.  The Maple drive's head can also move but I can't get it to read track 0.  Maybe that head is dead.

Floppy EMU case options

Hey folks, question for you people who have a Floppy EMU...

I followed the thread on Dave's excellent modification to put a Floppy EMU into a Disk ][ case. Unfortunately by the time I got my Floppy EMU and found a drive that I could use (off ebay and yes I'm going to keep the original insides safe), Dave had run out of kits/parts and it may be a few months before he has a chance to release the files. I did see that someone else designed a front panel. I'm wondering if anyone else has done any work similar to Dave's or building on Dave's?

AdvSkel65 Progress Report: Getting Monitor: Possible Crash on ProDOS OPEN

Hi!  I can't figure this one out.  Right now, most ports of AdvSkel65 appear to be working, but the two Apple2enh ports are giving me the monitor at startup.  :(  The 64k version used to work, but the 128k version was giving me the monitor at a location used by a Cubbyhole stub.  Right now, it seems that the monitor is showing a location in the main program.  I think this is happening during a call to the ProDOS OPEN function.  I attached the code for the OPEN code, the file-parsing code and the code that reads the files into memory.  BTW, I'm using ProDOSi to access the file system.  Thank

Apple IIe diagnostic fun...

Hey everyone... I'm still working on that IIe that I bought late last year and have been slowly restoring.  I wrote a message on the forums back in December or so and got pointed to Joe's for a new keyboard decoder chip and that fixed that problem right away.  In the months that have followed, I have gotten some more gear and setup what, back in the day, would have been an awesome system, but a new set of problems have cropped up int he meantime.  I suppose that I am stuck now, and could use a little advice.

Bluetooth to Apple II – Using an updated Firmware for Option 8’s RetroConnector

Over the last few months, I have written a few different versions of firmware for the Joystick RetroConnector (I’ve also mastered making the little device). I can connect Xbox, PlayStation, and most other 8Bitdo type Bluetooth controllers.

Apple II+ doesn't see all the keys from the keyboard

My Apple II+ hates me, or I got a bad one off E-Bay. :/

Currently, the keyboard is not working correctly. The 1 - 2 - A - S - CR - Space - won't type. And you can't do anything without a carriage return.

80 column text and HGR simultaneously in Applesoft Basic?

I am looking for  information on how to display 80-column text and HGR grapics simultaneously in Applesoft BASIC. I know how to switch between the two, and I know you can do a split screen mode with TEXT and GR, but my goal is to display text where desired on the screen, and a small HGR image in the bottom right hand corner of the screen to fill some negative space. Is this possible?

I've leafed through the manuals I know of, but I haven't found a straightforward answer.

Apple II+ Clone (Z80 type) will not correctly boot with the keyboard plugged in.

I recently picked up an Apple II+ clone, the type with the built in language card and Z80 softcard, and it wouldn't boot at all, only displaying rubbish characters. I replaced some 74161 counters that were dead and installed a modern power supply, and the computer still wouldn't boot. After scrubbing the ROM card contacts and unplugging the keyboard, I heard a beep and saw the BASIC prompt on my television! However plugging the keyboard back in caused the speaker to beep rapidly and a different rubbish pattern appeared on the screen.
