Apple II

G'day,

If your like me and your apple units all have Unidisk DB19 Plugs, it is annoying trying to work with 3 party devices or drives with 20 pin IDC connectors.

I have some SDCard readers that I want to boot off, but also some unidisk and Disc ][ devices, so I have designed this and placed it on github if you want to make one.  It allows you to connect 2 x 20 pin devices or 1 20 pin as drive 0 (SD Boot) and then have your DB19 unidisk as a second drive.

please feel free to use at your own risk.  I would like someone to test with floppy emu as I don't have one.

Would anyone have or know where I cn get a working copy of the boot disk for the Micromax Viewmax-80 video card for a ii plus?  There's a 4am crack floating around that crashes and I found a copy of what I believed to be an original disk and that crashed as well. The card PR#3s into 80 columns fine but I'd like to run Applewriter and Visicalc in 80 columns  so I can actually use the card productively. Hopefully someone is famliar with this card and its software.

Hey, all! New here, looking for some advice.

I have a IIgs that doesn't like reading 5.25" disks (and no 3.5" to test). The 5.25" drive works fine in a IIe with a newer controller with the DB19 port. In the IIgs, the drive head doesn't seem to like to move forward, so formats fail, reads fail, writes fail as soon as that head needs to move. Not knowing much, I assume that something is up with PH0-3, as those seem to control the drive head.

I'm preparing my Apple II Rev 0 and related documentation for sale soon, as mentioned in a earlier post on this forum.  I last powered it on successfully in September 2014 and let it run a few days, with on/off cycling every so often.  Turned it off, backed away in its Apple carrying case and put it on a shelf.
