IIGS w/ null modem cable can send but not receive?

Hi folks --

I'm attempting to get my old IIGS (ROM01) system back up and running but am having an odd issue.

I have what I *think* is a null modem cable going from the IIGS' modem port to a serial-to-USB adapter on my OSX Mac. To be precise, I have a IIGS modem cable connected to a LapLink serial cable (which I've used as a null modem cable previously in other contexts), which itself then connects to the serial/USB adapter.

Want to use a NON-AUTOSTART F-8 ROM in a IIe or //e Enhanced System.

Ok everybody... I have been toying with this idea for some time now but have not been able to get any advice or direction on how to complete this idea. The idea is to use a NON-AUTOSTART F-8 ROM inside a //e or //e enhanced system. I already have the Eprom FILE for it , just need to know if it is supposed to burn on a 2716 EPROM or what? Since the //e's are so versitile as far as memory and other things go , this would be the Apple of choice when it comes to using a NON-AUTOSTART F-8 ROM!

About Apple IIGS keyboard short problem.

I tried to use my old-mac keyboard for Apple IIgs.
But there was keyboard cable short.
Apple IIgs doesn't boot up.

So I tried to find the fix method for this situation. And at last I found 1 article related to it.

But actually I am a H/W novice. So I want to ask this.
Is there any more easy explanation to make inductor by hand?
I attatched the article for reference.

I have FingerPrint Plus and FingerPrint SS cards but no manual - can anyone help with switch settings etc?

Sorting through my collection of cards I found a number of FingerPrint printer cards made by Precision Software of Florida USA. Of the three versions I have (GSi, SS and Plus) I have only been able to find a manual (online) for the GSi. Can anyone help with information on the other two?

Rhino Robotics Arm Apple IIe Items wanted

I am looking for Apple II software disk, and controller card for Rhino Robitics XR-1, XR-2, XR-3 systems.

I have the book "Fundamentals of Robotics" by Larry Heath and it mentions that there were two cards that shipped with some versions of Rhino Arms. One is referred to as the California card and the other is vague. Each had its own version of the Robot software.

Apple Disk II Schematics

I noticed one of my disk speed is 40% slow according to APTEST. I attempted to tweak it up by adjusting one of the two potimeters on the circuit board, however, it seems with it all the way counter clockwise won't allow it to get better than the 40% slow.

Anyone having a good quality schematic of that circuit board in the disk II drive? If you have the ability to force the schematic color so it is white on black background that would be most helpful.

Also, what does the other potemeter do?

Thanks

What a find! [GBBS data files]

Wow floppies do contain gold! I came accross some very important data on one of my old floppies. Now keep in mind that this floppie is well over 24 years old! It contained data files for GBBS. For those of you who are not familure with GBBS , this was Gregg Sheafers Bulletin Board System program. For use back in the day for all Apple II/II+ and //e's. I would say that over 90% of the boards were running of of GBBS. Well anyways getting back to finding the data , two very good friends of mine that I grew up with back in Southern Cal , ran two amazing bbs's back in the day.
