Compute! Magazine type-in programs

Hi all,

I recently discovered that the Internet Archive has a full collection of COMPUTE! Magazine, and since I have fond memories of typing in their programs when I was a kid, I was thinking it would be nice to type in the full collection of Apple II programs so that they're preserved for the future. There's a few disks on Asimov, but nowhere near everything. So I have a few questions:

On Roku: some local TV interviews with Woz

I stumbled on the KMVT channel on Roku that has a couple of interviews with Woz and colleagues. I think KMVT might be a Mountain View public access channel.

Is there a way to redirect console output of an 80 column text program to a Videx Videoterm 80 column card (under ProDOS)?

Hello. Out of curiosity is there a (general) way to redirect the text output of a program that assumes is running on a //e computer with 80 column card in AUX slot to a Videx Videoterm 80 column card on a ][+ machine? I tried the Apple SCSI card partitioning utility that outputs 80 column text for its console output but on a ][+ machine only odd or even columns of text are seen (probably because the program is blindly writing directly to //e text pages in AUX ram too...). The SCSI card itself is running fine on a ][(plus) computer.

VCF repair/maintanence presentations posted (in PDF)

Hi Folks,

I just added the presentations (in PDF format) for a couple of maintenance/repair talks that I made at VCF east during the last couple of years to my Apple II repair pages. There seems to be an increasing number of threads about repairing systems and I figured it might help someone.

http://www.willegal.net/appleii/appleii-repair.htm - look for the links at the end of this page.

To summarize, I think that learning how the system works and troubleshooting through use of proper engineering tools is the most effective way to go.
