Uthernet II and BBS

I am currently waiting on my Uthernet II card to arrive, and I was wondering if there was a way to use that to connect to a BBS. Perhaps with Contiki?

Last resort to restore Apple ii Plastic to original condition.

Lately I have found that a lot of people will not use sandpaper to remove engraved letters on their Apple ii computers. That is because the sandpaper removes the original grain pattern in the plastic.

Others, do not want to bother with RetrObrite, so for those people a technique is still waiting to be discovered.

The only other alternative is to use this technique I have come up with.

Although I have not tried this myself, I would if I had to.

To restore the original grain type finish on plastic, use RustOleum Rippled Effect spray paint.

I discovered this spray paint about 2 years ago.

The grains can be simulated using this paint but it also depends on how well you use it.

So get your messed up plastic and experiment!

Give it a try just for the heck of it.

We can post the results on this thread.

I will post this info on Facebook also.

Here is the website for this unique product:

Applefritter Webside with Apple II

Hi,
I use my Apple II with the Uthernet card to reach the Internet.

Would be very happy if this forum could be used with my Apple II - but with contiki I can not Login.

Couldn't you prepare the page in that way, that it can be reached (Login) with contiki?

Thanks

Virtual II and Integer BASIC

Hi. I use the Virtual II Apple II emulator and I have no problem emulating an Apple IIe, but I have not been able to create/use an Integer BASIC Apple II. I have been using the APPLE2O.ROM file which I think is a correct ROM file for an Integer BASIC Apple II. When I use this ROM image the Virtual II boots to an asterisk "*" prompt and when I try to do a Control-B into Integer BASIC all I see happening is a 'B" and back to the asterisk prompt. It seems that I am not executing the Control-B command, but I am typing Control-B on the keyboard.

Email client for Apple IIe?

Is the Uthernet II compatible with the Apple //e? And if so, is there any way to send/receive email on the //e?

A couple of neat cards I picked up recently

These cards were part of a piecemeal clone system called the "Appleseed" produced by Douglas Electronics. It was designed as a turnkey system where you could buy only the components that you needed to build a product. There was a small bus board and then all the pieces of the Apple II were available as cards - a CPU system card, a memory system card, a video system card, ROM, IO, etc.

Does Anyone Use The Merlin Assembler?

I have been having trouble with Apple II Merlin version 1.34 for a LONG time. Running it on the Virtual II emulator with Apple II E ROM, I can enter 6502 assembly programs, no problem. But the OBJ command keeps returning an error upon assembly. Leaving that one out, I enter the Monitor through Merlin and try to run the program by entering '300G' (after inserting ORG $300) but all I get is a listing of that address, not an actual program run.

Does anyone have any solutions? Maybe the name of another good emulator?
