Living Videotext's ThinkTank

I have just uploaded to Asimov: version 1.1 of ThinkTank and it's supplemental demo DATA disk.

This was an "Idea Processor" that ultimately found its way to early Macintosh's too!

I have the complete package, including the 228 page manual, but not the time to scan it.

IIc 9" monitor with American motherboard

Does swapping European to American IIc motherboard distort image on monochrome 9" monitor? With the old 02-European motherboard the view
is perfectly centered on the screen. With the American 03 motherboard output can't be centered.

What do you think will drive the value of 2 series systems in the future?
Will it be rarity through attrition? By that I mean consoles will fall into hands of unknowledgeable folks that simply push stuff around on ebay like this:

Stoneware's DB Master

I was able to copy DB Master from Stoneware (and upload it to Asimov) using Gerard Putter's half-track copy method, and it works now in Virtual ][.

I noticed that no one had previously uploaded it to Asimov.

I am still unable to get DB Master Utility Disks #1 & #2 to copy work property using either the half-track or nibble method. Any ideas?

geethree PS/2 to ADB adapter on IIgs?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has tried tried the geethree PS/2 to ADB adapter on a IIgs with an optical PS/2 mouse. If so, did it work well and what brand/model of mouse did you use?

Thanks

Any info about Platinum //e mobo revisions? And sockets too.

I was looking around the net for info that explains the differences in the revisions of the Platinum //e motherboards.

I have 4 of them right now, revisions, D,E, and F. And I'm wondering what the differences are. Visually, some of the minor parts like resistors and capacitors are different colors or slightly different shapes. But that could be simply because of suppliers and what was available for production.

The rev letter is stamped right above slot 5.

My original old //e died..

My ancient Apple //e from 1982 has now died. I went to turn it on and got some random garbage onscreen. I got strange text at the top in place of the "Apple //e", and about 15 or so random characters across the screen here and there.

It responds to the keyboard, and resets, and lets me type something in (displays normal characters here). And sometimes accepts the commands, and sometimes not. Stuff like HGR and HGR2 and TEXT work, but don't return the command prompt ]. Dropping it on the floor and reseating chips hasn't helped, neither has putting it in the oven & freezer.
