What exactly is a Smartport please!

Hello all - sorry for the noob question but I never understood what a smartport was/is for the Apple II computer line?  Is it a special hard drive technology that can be used on Apples?  Something else?  Tried searching online and found nothing -  thanks for any layman's terms explanations on this please!

ITT 2020 specific softwares

Hello,

A few month ago I bought a nice ITT 2020 for cheap. It wasn't working. I cleaned the rom's leg (very corroded) and checked the whole ram (had to replace 6 bad chips).

Now it's back to life ! (except for the speaker, I still have to figure it out)

I managed to successfuly run a couple apple 2 softwares from a floppyEmu, but some other just freeze the computer or run but with graphic glitches.

I know there's been a few specific sofwares for the ITT 2020 but I can't manage to find a source for them, either as cassette dump or disk dump.

Apple IIGS Monitor for sale?

It's super hard to find a working AppleColor RGB Monitor Model 6014 online for purchase, so I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to sell me their working monitor? Please don't tell me to get a VGA/HDMI convertor.

IIGS not resetting

pin 16 on ADB resets but does not show up on pin 49. Therefore none of the chips needing a reset.L startup.

Apple II DISK Emulator using STM32

Hello, 

I know there are a lot of project available using SD or emulating disk drive. 

I am trying to make a new one available to the community, stable and cheap. 

I have started a new project to emulate the SDISK II using a STM32 bluepill and a SDCard. 

Once it is fuly working I will add a 0.96 screen, 3 buttons and make a dedicated PCB everything for less that 10$.

 

I am almost done with the prototype, but I need to debug a bit what the Apple II is getting from the stm32.

Apple 2e | issue with prompt and logo

Hi all,

I need your advice about this situation.

When the system starts the displayed logo is "Apple è*"  and the prompt is "è" -> see attached images.

But... if I start a program from diskette, the program works... if I go back to the system, the prompt is not what I expect "]"

 

What's wrong?

Hello! I'm having an issue with getting my AppleColor Monitor 100 to work properly with my stealth upgraded ROM1 Apple IIGS as docuemented to various degrees in these links:

Apple ][+ Cassette in

Any help appreciated, first time posting. Feel like I've tried everything under the sun to get the "cassette in" on my Apple ][+ to fully work. I CAN get low fi files from http://asciiexpress.net/ to work, so the signal is getting to the Apple. On their site's README it says "If HIFI does not work for you, then it never will on that system, use 8KFI."  That's a pretty vague stattement, but opens up a question. Has ANYONE gotten a ][+ to accept HIFI? My system won't accept 8KFI either.
