Is Applefritter slow (in the UK) or is it just me?

I am finding it increasingly hard to read / post here as applefritter is really slow. Loading the forum page takes a long time, as does changing topics.

This has only been a problem in the last year or so, I originally thought that it was my internet connection at home, but i've since moved 70 miles. I am now using a uni network (very fast internet connection) and its still slow.

Its so annoying, that I rarely post / visit here anymore...probally a good thing for you..

Anyway, anyone else having simular problems? I don't think its my computers, as my ex mac's etc also had the problem.

Sorry, you're hitting me play

Sorry, you're hitting me playing with the server configs, which involves restarting the server, and bringing the databases up and down a lot.

I'm done for the moment.

The only real issue I find is that the Google ads don't come right up. Much of the time if AF is slow the status bar claims it is waiting for Google.

Using Firefox? I think we figured out somewhere that an older build of firefox was having to wait basically forever in order to finsih loading the google ads.

Now that you mention it, yes.

Now that you mention it, yes. Until I got the Mini I had been using FireFoxs 1.0.4. Now that I've got 10.4.4 to use I can and have been using Safari 2 instead. AF does seem to load fine, even the Google Ads. I'll have to try a test soon to see if it is still a problem in FF for me.

Seems a bit slow at work though... which is strange as we use the same ISP that I use at home :S
