Hiya folks,

When entering the Monitor mode, if I just hit the enter key repeatedly, it shows me this HEX data. Do you know what this data is?

Disk II Badges

Here is the SVG file for the drive badges. I am going to run them through the GlowForge this week and etch on some very thin black coated aluminum.  in theory it will create an acceptable badge though not authentic because the text will be aluminum not white. I'll post pictures when done.

Apple II+ Keyboard Encoder

Evening All:

Has anyone ever tried building an Apple II+ keyboard encoder?  I need one for a project and thought I'd take a stab at building one.

Found lots of info online, bout thought I'd ask you all as well.  Heck, if someone had gerbers for it that would be a time saver.

Who do we submit documents for inclusion on the file repository at Apple2.org.za?  I found a manual for the JDR 16K memory card online and it is not on the repository.

Cleaning Slow IIe Key Switch

I recently acquired an Apple IIe. Everything is in good shape except the caps lock liked to stick down, and one of the arrow keys doesn't like to pop all the way up/is slow to pop up. It doesn't constantly actuate, so it's usable. But kind of annoying.

 

 

I flooded both with QD electrical cleaner down the stems while working them up and down. It seemed to have helped the caps lock. It now promptly pops up when you disengage it. But the arrow key is being stubborn.

IIgs ticking noise from speaker when using GS/OS

Forgive me if this is a common question, I've googled a bit and all I could find is threads about clicking noise from drives.

 

I have a ROM 1 GS, with new power supply and CFFA3000 card. The computer is perfectly quiet when using drive emulation with CFFA. However, when I connect my recently acquired Apple 3.5" drive and boot GS/OS, there is a ticking noise about twice a second through the speaker. The sound dissapears when selecting a menu, or holding the mouse button in general. Any ideas?

Mountain Computer ROMWRITER Card

Evening All:

So two questions for everyone.

1) Has anyone seen a MountianComputer ROMWRITER card for sale anywhere?  There was one on eBay a month or so ago and I just wasn't in a position to act and purchase.  If anyone comes across one of these, or another brand, please let me know.  I would also be interested if anyone has a schematic for these cards to build a clone.

Ultima II Inaccessible Areas

Just some fun here...  I grew up playing Ultima II and I was always really curious about a couple of walled off areas in the game.
