How to Exit Music Constuction Set

I have been enjoying the Music Construction Set program on my Apple IIgs computer and cannot figure out how to exit the program to get back to GS/OS. I've read though the manual and it does not state how to exit the program. I always have to turn off the computer and turn back on to get back to GS/OS. I'd apprcciate any help. Thanks.

Apple (Video7) Extended 80col RGB Card - no color in DHGR

A while ago I purchased an Apple (Video7) Extended 80col RGB (aka AppleColor) card on eBay for using the card with an enhanced Apple //e PAL. For quite a while, I did not have a good way of displaying the output of the card, as today's monitors are incompatible with the horizontal frequency of the video signal.

Glanmire Electronics Micro Watch

Hello. I am hoping to find out about a device. I recently purchased an Apple II. It had some device plugged into the game port on the motherboard. I am assuming it is some sort of clock device. It says:

"GLANMIRE ELECTRONICS LTD 1982" and "MICRO WATCH".

It is about 2 inches by 2 inches. It has a Berec Memtec battery, 3.6v 100mAh

Any ideas on what it is? The battery leaked and ruined it, plus one of the pins rotted off and broke inside the 16-pin socket. :-(

Thank you.

Apple II Plus chips for testing

So I have a variety of II Plus machines (or clones) in working order and another half dozen or so in need of some repair.  These last half dozen have been robbed and swapped and are less reliable bases from which to build. I always clean the pins and  reseat and often swap 74LSxxx and other chips to test.  But, I think I'd like to just purchase a complete set of new (presumably) known good chips to work from and then work back to get correct date codes when possible from my parts stock once it is in working condition.

Apple II and III prototyping boards manual

Hi All:

Been quite some time since I was here on the board.  Hope everyone is doing well and having a good holiday season.

I have been searching for a pdf of the manual that came with Apple II & III prototyping boards.  Mine are genuine Apple.  I got mine in a large lot of Apple stuff I bought about 8 months ago.  The manual that was with the cards was so water damaged that most of the pages were stuck together.  Restoration efforts for the manual failed.

Apple II europlus ram issue

I am trying to fix an Apple II europlus.

It can't boot and it looks to be related to a ram problem. Or maybe that's just a red herring.

If there is a ram chip in C3 or D5 or E3 it displays a weird screen. See picture 1 and 2.

If there is NO ram chip in C3 and D5 and E3 it displays a more normal screen. See picture 3. But of course then it can't boot without the C3 ram.

I have tried using ram chips which I have tested ok in another machine.

I have tested all the 74LS chips on the board, they seem to be ok.

Getting Apple ][ on a //e at boot

Hi, recently i picked up an old Apple //e from my infancy.   This computer was held at a repair shop (that my dad used to own) many years ago.   A blast from the past, i recovered some of the usabel hardware there.    Well in any case, the system was not booting.   I repaired the PSU, changed a shorted cap on the baord, reseated the chips and finally got it working.

Now the weird thing is that when the system boots i see the following, not that i removed all cards:

Apple IIc internal drive stepper motor issue

I've been trying to troubleshoot an issue with a IIc internal drive, but hitting a wall in my skills - I hope someone here can provide some insight.

On boot, the drive will spin up, the head will move back to track 0, but it will not read. This issue is not related to the analog board or the speed control board, as I've been able to swap in known-good boards and the symptom is the same.

So I'm supposing that there is an issue with one of the connectors or cables to the stepper motor, or perhaps something to do with the r/w head.

ZipGS and TranswarpGS cable pinout

I know ZipGS and TranswarpGS cables are different. Does anyone have the pinout on them?
