A Quick Thread... Someone looking for Early 4116 Chips.

Good morning all,

Somewhere in another thread, someone was looking for some early '77-'79 4116 chips for a project. I just cannot remember which topic it was under and who was asking. I have recently acquired a couple with the Date Code 7920. These are chips with the Gold Labels.
Please let me know if you still are looking.

Defective Language Card?

Hello:

I'm hoping to get some assistance on this forum for a situation I am having with a recently purchased Apple II Plus from eBay. It came with a DOS 3.3 diskette and that boots without issue.

.1 mf rectangular capacitor in Apple II plus power supply...

Ok. So I need to change that rectangular cap in the II plus supply that smoked.

Before I go any further does anyone have a replacement part number. This is the cap near the back of the supply that looks like a domino on its side. I can read its .1 mf, but before I take the rest of the supply apart I wanted to have a spare part so I can simply change it.

Would like to hear from people that have put their names in for run #3, and would like to know if they have been notified for pre-order. Did the builder notify you by email or is there another site for issuing order? I have emailed him awhile ago about my interest and have not yet received any notification, so just curious. thanks.

Looking for APTest documentation

My son is troubleshooting an Apple II plus (actually a complete rebuild and testing of the machine) and finally he's up to doing a memory test and it fails using APtest's 48k memory test. I'd normal use the dealer diagnostics, but it won't boot, an indicator of a low ram issue.

Is there documentation around on this program so we can understand which chip it is? It says ROW D and has Error 4040 before it, but we are not sure how to interpret that other then row D.

I told him he can keep 1/2 the money from selling it, but it must be 100% working and the keyboard must be rebuilt as the first item (which I did have to help him with) so this memory error is all he has left unless he decides to touch up the paint.

Thanks,
Corey
