Thoughts on the Floppy Emu Deluxe Bundle from BMOW

Hello All,

I wanted to solicit feedback from users of the BMOW Floppy Emu product.

I plan to use it with my un enhanced Apple IIE that has an Disk II interface and single Disk II drive. I have some software I would like to get off of the original 30 plus year floppies on to some type of flash media. My plan is to have the Disk II as drive 1 and the Emu as drive 2.

From the reviews I have read it seems like a solid product.

Would you recommend or suggest another product ?

Thanks for any advice.

Problem with loading from tape audio onto apple IIe

Since I don't yet have a disk II, I've been experimenting with loading stuff from tape. Now, due to my lack of any apple II tape software, I've been playing mp3s of the tapes straight from my phone into the input jack, but it doesn't load. I've made sure its in the right one, I've made sure a second aux is plugged into the output port, I've tried adjusting the volume, but nothing works. Any ideas?

Apple IIe programming issue

So I recently acquired an apple IIe and it works great. I've been wanting to learn how to program simple programs and stuff, and was typing in some code from the II+ programming manual. When it came time to input line 60 (60 TOP=10) I did so and continued on. But when I went to run the program, it gave me SYNTAX ERROR ON LINE 60. Needless to say, I was a bit confused because I thought I'd done it right, but I didn't pay much notice and corrected it. So after correcting it, I tried to run it and got the same thing.

Broke my Apple II cherry yesterday...

first post, I'm just a sponge for information at this point.

There was a Craigslist ad here in Denver, someone had 3 compact macs and a IIe all for $40. Naturally I was all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake.

Even made a video about what I got: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBRr1OrCCrw (Shameless self promotion, I know)

Apple IIe, Duodisk No Access Light

Hi,
I need help diagnosing why my DuoDisk, on my Apple IIe, now shows no access light, and a short buzz, after pulling it apart and cleaning the heads. It also shows an IO error when using INIT on DOS.
Thanks

Super Serial Card not working, but not dead either

I'm trying to resurrect an old enhanced IIe. So far, I've gotten everything working again, except for the Super Serial Card. I'm able to run a few diagnostic tools, all of which see it as an unknown card. APEX II sees it as: 44 80 168 184 56. The correct values for an SSC are 44 80 169 184 56, so it's only off by one. I'm wondering if it might be one bad chip on the board somewhere I could replace. I have a second old IIe motherboard, which I've already used to cannibalize parts and repair a bad RAM chip on the 80col card.

Picked up Apple II Plus, Apple IIe and two UniDisk drives; asking for valuation and identification

Hi everyone. I recently picked up an Apple II Plus with the raised power switch, Apple IIe, and a couple UniDisk drives as the previous owner was going to throw them away. I don't know much about earlier Apple computers. Either way, I took them home to see if they worked.

While I don't have any diskettes to test the UniDisk drives, they did do the normal floppy seek. Both models power on and display as normal.

Connecting the Apple IIc to a TV or LCD Monitor

Is there anyway to connect the Apple IIc to a CRT TV, a Flat Screen TV or a Flat Panel Monitor. I have tried using an RCA cable many ways and can't get a single on any of the TVs or Monitors.

Thanks.

Strange problem with Apple IIc Please Help

I have an Apple IIc and I can't get the floppy to spin up "unless" I unplug the floppy cable from the floppy drive slightly. When only 2-3 pins are making contact the floppy spins the disk very nicely and the red disk use light comes on. When I have the floppy cable plugged in all the way I can't get the IIc to make the drive do anything.

Any ideas? Thanks.
