Apple II+ Monitor

Hi guys,

I bought a very little LCD-monitor to use it as a second monitor for my Apple II+ - here I normally use the Videx Videoterm with my Apple Monitor II - so I would have a second one to see the 40C display.

If I connect this little monitor to a Apple IIe or a Apple II Europlus it works perfectly all right!

If I connect it on the Apple II+ to the Videx Videoterm it works perfectly all right!

If I connect it to the Apple II+ video output it does not work?!?

The monitor should work with PAL and NTSC.

What could be the problem?

Apple ii port uses?

Hello guys, Sorry for the vague subject but I figured it would get more people to see this, and in turn give a broader idea of the uses for this port.

What are the uses for the DB9 Serial port (female) that is by the cassette ports on the apple iie?

Apricorn Super Serial Imager (Apricorn SSI) and ADTPRO

just posting this as an FYI in case it helps someone else

I'd google'd and found various posts saying users couldn't make this card work with ADTPro. Nor could I...

i found the manual online and once past the confusion therein, it works! SW1 1-8, and SW2 1-8 set as follows 00011101 and 11111011 (1 being on, 0 off)

make sure the serial cable is on the modem pins and the right way round Wink

no idea yet what the busy select pins are really for (beyond the obvious) but mine has one jumper on "I"

in this config control A then 14b works nicely. FYI in case someone else finds this and finds it useful!

cheers Smile

GSOS Hide a partition?

Howdy,

I'm using a SCSI2SD w/ a rev c SCSI card. For some reason when I use adv drive utility to partition device into 4 partitions I always get a fifth 512k, empty, hfs partition named "driver" that I didn't set up??? I was wondering if one might be able to disable this partition from auto mounting or otherwise make it invisible from the finder?

DS1216E - Driver Images (Apple II)

Dear folks,

I had a couple of problems getting my DS1216E NoSlotClock (purchased in China) working.
Neither the downloaded version's from Asimov nor from somewhere else worked for me.

So I do found the following link which solved my problem and the clock is now working fine.

Disk ][ not reading disks

Having just adapted a PC power supply to run my Apple, I decided to play Moon Patrol. I had inadvertently let one of my drives fall about 3 cm, but I thought that wasn't enough to ruin my drive. Apparently it was, because it cannot now read disks. Sometimes, the stepper motor doesn't even step. In such cases, it will only move at all in phase 2; when the phase 2 signal is removed, the motor just returns to its previous position.

5-1/4" floppies for Apple IIe and a question

Can anyone recommend where to get some 5-1/4" floppies for my Apple IIe?

I have tried some floppies that I have, but they don't appear to work (they're 1.2Mb floppies for one thing, which might be a problem)...however, this might also be a drive problem (as the computer and various stuff had been in storage for a while before I got it).

SSC Jumper Block Source

Does anyone know of a source for Super Serial Card modem/printer jumper blocks? I have a broken one, and a spare or two would be nice.
