Softdisk Magazine Download Site?

Does anyone know of a site that contains the issues to Softdisk Magazine? Been searching the net , but have not found any , would be a great addition to one's collection.

Thanks...

Is the Semi-Vitrual Diskette still available?

As per Title? I have sent an email to eric a couple of days ago with no reply, and the web site was updated just over a year ago, are these still available or is the project dead. I have alot of software on 5.25" disks all of which are around the 25 year old mark so i doubt they will work (I have not tired them yet as i have to get them shipped to me) however I have found disk images of most of them on the web so the SVD would be the perfect solution.

Thankyou!

Just wanted to drop in a give a shout of thanks to David Schidt , thankyou so much for helping me with my ADT issues , everything transfers awsome now! And thanks for the Bootlegger Magazine Disks! I will continue to look for more issues and transfer them to .DSK before the data disapears forever :O(

Thanks again!

Switch and button question

Hi all,
after 22 years I finally have an apple ][e again thanks to ebay. The motherboard was made in 1984, PAL version (the aux slot is below the C3 slot, not over next to the PSU as in NTSC boards) and as far as I can tell its a revision B board so it should be capable of 'Double Hi res' mode.
Now not having had one of these for so long and this one not coming with any user manuals or software I have a couple of questions.

ADT transfer question , using high speed usb adapter to laptop.

hey guys.... I have a ADT question for you , been awhile since I got back into transfering stuff again , but here's the situation.... I have a //e coming from a super serial card , with a nullcable connected to a high speed usb connector . I installed the drivers for the usb connector that I got from www.retrofloppy.com . I am able to send floppys from the //e to the PC , but when I try to transfer a .DSK file from the PC to the //e , it gives errors that it cannot open the file.

Apple /// startup memory diagnostic error?

When I tried to power up my Apple /// (built in 1980) with 256K RAM, the screen showed "memory diagnostics" and stopped there. There was a mix of 1s and 0s on it. Not sure what that means, but it doesn't look good because of the mix.

ALF Music synthesizer

I'm looking for details on the ALF Music system card, for an Apple ][,
from about 1978.

If anyone has one they no longer want/need, I can provide a home for it.

If I recall correctly, this was a 3-voice card using an early AY-8910
sound chip.

Delete key doesn't work (?)

I am new to the Apple II scene, so I'm not sure what to expect out of the systems, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to clear a character off my screen!

I turn on my Apple II and press Control+Reset. At the prompt, I type in some characters. Pressing delete just prints a square grid cursor.

When I'm in ADTPro, the delete key moves the cursor to the right, but doesn't delete the character. If the default name for a disk is "BLANK" and I want to call it "GAME" there's no way to get that ending "K" deleted (the rest of the characters can be overwritten).

//c repair

Picked up a non-working //c. Powers up but no disk access, lots of garbage on the screen.

Anyone know someone who can repair this ?

Apple IIc shows no color on screen

Hello Friends of the good Apple II,

i have obtain a Apple IIc and i get no colour picture on screen. We have here PAL TV Standard. I tried the Pal Modulator with the 15 Pin Connector and through the RCA Connector. I get all times only a b/w picture without any colour. What can i do? My TV supports NTSC and PAL. I thought that it maybe a NTSC Apple IIc but the Label says 220-240 Volt, so i guess thats a PAL type.
