Apple II SchoolBus Card

Hello! I recently aquired a SchoolBus networking card and some promotional information about the device. From what I've learned, the card allows several Apple IIs to share disk drives and a printer to cut down on costs and manage what students can access. I don't have any of the connectors for the card, or an other instructional/informational materials.

Does anyone have any information on the SchoolBus card? I am looking for:

1) Any info/knowledge you might have about it

2) Anyone who has actually used it would be cool

E3 RAM chip in backwards after removing language card

I made a terrible mistake on my Apple II. I removed the language card and when i put the ram chip from the card into E3 I put it in backwards. Very unfortunate as i've don't this 100 times. When i turned it on, the RAM chip got hot. It was only on for maybe 5 seconds. Now when i turn it on i get the first beep, drive spins and then an error beep with address c002 listed, or sometimes 2025. I've tried removing all the other ram chips except first row, same problem. Could all of the RAM chips be bad? Any idea what other chips could be bad? I do have chips from a different computer to try.

Microchip confusion

Can anyone help me out here?

I pulled out two corroded SN74LS161 AN chips from an Apple II+.  eBay doesn't have any of these up for sale right now, but they DO have SN74LS161 N and DN74LS161 AN chips for sale (from China) - is the D vs S significant here?  What about the AN vs N in the chip name?

I also need to replace a corroded DM74LS02 N chip.

What is significant about these chip names / branding that I need to match, and what isn't?

Any help is appreciated!

Fix bad video on II Plus caused by RAM card?

I recently got an Apple II+ with a clone of the Saturn 128 memory card installed. I have it connected via composite video out to a modern LCD TV. With the memory card installed, there is a lot of red and blue color bleed around text on the screen, and a bunch of vertical blue dashed lines that are continually pulsating. Without the memory card, the text is crystal clear. Interestingly, whenever I load a program on disk, the bad text and vertical lines clear up while the disk drive is running, then come back.

So there are currently no CF controller cards in production?

Hi guys and gals,

I just bought an Apple IIGS, keyboard, mouse, and monitor...but I am supprised to find no CF or SD controller cards currently available.  CFFA3000, for instance, is unavailable.

Does anyone know a good controller card in production/where I could find one not in production?  I don't want to do the SCSI to external hard solution if humanly possible.

Thanks for your help,

Will

Apple II Disk interface

Hi

Been working on my Apple II europlus for a few months now and have fixed the blown PSU, replaced the fried CPU in the motherboard, repaired the broken keyboard and now it powers up to the [ prompt in basic and seems to run ok.

However, how does the disk II interface and drive normally operate ?

If I install the card (in slot #6) and connect up the disk drive, the computer hangs with Apple ][ but no [ prompt and the drive continually spins ?
