Is it possible to run gs os on an original II or II plus

I am wondering if it is possible to run gs os on an apple II or II plus. I am aware of the expansion for the II e but could you do it on an old II.

Is it a II, or a II Plus?

This item just came up for auction on eBay...

My question is this:

It has an 8030 Motherboard, looks to be a Rev 7.
Could it be a II Plus with a II Lid?

Corrupt Hardcore/Computist DVD on asimov ?

While looking through the Hardcore Computing/Computist archive on Asimov, I noted that you can't read issues 65 through 92 in the pdf folder.

From Asimov:
ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.com/pub/apple_II/documentation/magazines/misc/Computist.iso.zip

Inside the .iso image:
\pdfs\hardcore.computist

Issues 65 through 91 are corrupt.

The corrupted issues can be found here:
ftp://ftp.apple.asimov.com/pub/apple_II/documentation/magazines/hardcore_computist/

And #90 and #91? Whatever happened to those?

Windfall the british User magazine scanned and loaded to asimov

WINDFALL was a british User magazin from July 1981 till End of 1983.
After December 1983 in Beginning of January 1984 the magazin changed name to APPLE USER
In first 2 years it was published each 2 months and in last year they switched
to monthly editions. This decission caused the magazin to shut down soon later...
nearly all of this magazines have now been scanned and uploaded today to asimov.
They should become availiable to public within next days.....

Problem booting UCSD Pascal from CFFA3000

Finally got my CFFA3000 and am having serious fun. But there is one problem: it doesn't seem to want to boot my UCSD Pascal disk images, freshly made from the boot and work disks I use.

I first tried with the CFAA in Slot 5, which resulted in the message "MUST BOOT FROM SLOT 6". Oh, yeah...that sounds like something I remember from 30 years ago.

So I move the card to Slot 6. But when I boot, it instantly crashes into the monitor if I try to boot from my Pascal disk.

I know the card supports this, so what am I doing wrong?

Bad Super Serial Card?

I acquired a "non-working" Apple IIe some months ago and in the 10 minutes a week I get to work on it I have been getting it going. In reality it was just dirty and required a new power supply. It now seems to (mostly) work and boots ProDos from the Duodisk I have.

Apple IIe power light out on my keyboard

I apologize if this has been covered before but I couldn't find an answer anywhere... any suggestions on how to fix this? Is it as simple as replacing the light (bulb)? Where would one acquire such a bulb?

Thank you,
Roger

Apple II+ restoration

I'm diving into my first Apple II restoration job on a machine that is just plain dead. Power on the PSU hums, but no light and no bell (let alone video). I was hoping to get some initial directions and some information on this particular machine. It's a fairly late serial number A2S2 (dating to late 1982) with the rev D RFI motherboard. There are a number of interesting upgrades, including a "lowercase chip", a "Repeaterrr" board, and a few expansion cards (Microsoft RAM, Apple Super Serial, Applied Engineering VideoMaster.)
