Help_The Best Way to Copy Files to the CFFA Card?

All,

I need help.

I have been away from doing regular Apple II stuff for a while.
I want to get back to it, but it seems somewhere along the path
(no pun intended)I have lost my way.

I am back at my trusty Platinum IIe trying to copy all of
my disks (Games and Utilites) to my CFFA Cards.
I have read the CFFA Manuals, but there does not seem to be a definite step-by-step
procedure for copying programs.

For instance:

Apple IIe memory removal and replacement

My Apple IIe gives me the following after the RAM test RAM: 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0

I am assuming that it is stating that the chip at F6 is bad. Can I unsolder and replace? Is there any special trick to doing this to avoid damaging the other components or the replacement? As far as a replacement chip goes, am I limited to what I can scavenge from another motherboard or is there a source for getting new chips? Any and all advice is most appreciated. Thanks!

A couple of SuperSerialCard questions (simple stuff for sure)

I'm doing some basic experiments and learning the ins and outs of the SSC. Finally!! Currently I have a basic setup II+ to PC (SSC-cable-DB9serialport).

Is it normal for the terminal (PC hypertem) to have to be set to VT100 and FORCE INCOMING TO 7-bit ASCII? FOr unless I do that I get some extra garbage on the PC side.

The 8-bit / 7-bit dip switch on the card doesn't seem to correct this.

Now, if I use VT102 emulation on AlphaCom, I don't have this problem.

What's going on here.

Spartan Apple II Emulator for C64 on ebay now.

Good evening All,

Imagine my surprize this evening when I went up to eBay and seen this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/141012520377?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_178wt_909

This is another of the "Holy Grail" finds.
Spartan did not make that meny of these things.
It's kinda like the C64 version of the MEC AND it uses Apple II cards, disk drives, and software.

Applied Engineering: The Conserver for GS

I recently experienced a power surge that blew the fuse for my AE GS Conserver. I removed the fuse and found that it had absolutely no ID markings on it at all....never saw a fuse without some ID before? Does anyone know the correct fuse to use with the Conserver?

Thanks
Jim

Need this screw

I have a simple question.
I recently have purchased some components for my A2e.
The problem is I don't have the right nut and bolt to attach these to the back.

With this post, I have attached a picture of the screw that I need along with a quarter for size comparison.
Please help me identify this with name and place where I can possibly get them.

Thank you
