Steve Wozniak says you should attend the Vintage Computer Festival! Upcoming editions are April 28-29 (VCF Europa, in Munich, Germany); May 5-6 (VCF East, in Wall, New Jersey); and September 29-30 (VCF Midwest, in Lombard, Illinois).

My edition, VCF East (http://www.vintage.org/2012/east/), includes a keynote by Dan Kottke, an Apple II repair course, and exhibits by replica experts Mike Willegal and Corey Cohen (about a couple of dozen others, and a lecture by BASIC inventor Thomas Kurtz!)

Why hasn't the Hayes Micromodem II become more popular?

Why hasn't the Hayes Micromodem II become more popular?
I'm talking about the one with the external Microcoupler (little black box with red LED) .. Seeing as how this was one of the very first modems ever for the 2 series I'm surprised at how forgotten it has become.

Apple CD SC external drive on IIgs with SCSI card

I have rom 3 Apple IIgs with the latest SCSI card and I have a external Apple SC CD rom with caddy loader. My question is will the IIgs see it being so big of capacity of a CD also will that purticlar model read burned CD?

Help loading Apple II software on IIgs

I just got a Apple IIgs after years of not owning one I also just bought 50 diffent new software titles I opened them all and not on able to be read by the iigs. The boxes say either II II plus or iie so not sure it says eject or innitalize disk. I'd like to load them on my external drives. Am I misssing something. I doubt 50 disks from various locations are bad I mean yeah they are old but some should work. They are 5.25 disks. And the drive I has works fine on other software. Any ideas?

Brutal deluxe iPod/iPhone volume recommendation. Or help with what I may be doing wrong.

Been trying to load some of the tape stuff and keep getting an error.
I loaded integer basic on my II plus off of disk, then I use the load command with my iphone hooked up. I have tried 100%,50% and 75% volume. Any other ideas?

Apple IIe running hot

Hello All,

Is it normal for an Apple IIe to run quiet hot. Nothing is buying but if I touch the cards they are pretty warm. Guess having no fans inside does not help. Can I use my Apple IIe for hours on end without it buying out?
